@Broncos: Weβve parted ways with Head Coach Vic Fangio.

Problem is Denver has been a lack of a QB since Manning retired (that's on Elway). Couple of good DCs will be available if Zimmer is fired as expected.

That was the most bizarre self intro ever.
Something tells me Zimmer will accept a DC job, somewhere. I don't think he will be offered a head coaching job based on the way he threw players under the bus, in Minnesota. I know those players are vikings players, but there's nothing like creating a contentious atmosphere in the locker room and expecting results from demoralized players. I really hate to see him go!
Maybe he will take a year off like MM and learn all this newfangled metrics and stuff.
Then come back and do what you do.
Iβm hearing Nagy out in Chicago
Maybe theyβll just swap coaches. π
Bears have fired Matt Nagy.
As noted in another thread, Vikings have fired Mike Zimmer and GM Rick Spielman.
That may make the Lions as our biggest comp in the North for the next couple of years. Rarely (other than MLF) does a new coach bring immediate improvement
MIN isn't completely bereft of talent. They could turn it around quickly.
I'm available. I don't do long hours though.
Brian Flores is out as the Dolphins head coach, sources tell ESPN.

Another very good DC available.
Ryan Pace out as well in Chicago.
Re:Flores. A little surprised. Seemed like he had a motivated squad who played hard all yearβ¦even beat the Pats yesterday which allowed Blair Kiel to win the season-long Isbell 2 Hutson Pool.

Barry not getting fired.

A good year to make a deep run into the Superb Owl...so teams can't interview our coordinators for HC jobs...
Think Brian Flores is more likely to get another shot at HC rather than DC.

Damnit!
Flores, Fangio, Zimmer.
Did we fire Pettine a year too soon? Answer coming some time in the next 33 days.

Yeah WTF???

I am a little surprised the Dolphins fired him. I don't watch much of their games but it seemed like they were headed in the right direction.
Giants keeping Joe Judge. Unbelievable. The guy is so over his head and is utterly toxic.
John Mara seems determined to drive that franchise into the ground.
dude tried to get himself fired with that 3rd and 9 QB sneak and the Giants really said "oh no you don't" https://t.co/Lz2He25WLT

The success of the Packers organization has cost a lot of peopleβs jobs over the years.

A sampler:
The biggest question is whether any of these displaced coaching staffs have a competent special teams coordinator.
2 moribund franchises that have won a combined 2 playoff games over the past 11 years met in Minneapolis yesterday to determine which team would hurt its draft status more.
The Vikes "won" the game so they moved down a couple of spots to #12. The Bears don't have their own 1st round pick in the 2020 draft, so the loss was not that big of a deal either way.
The Vikes and Bears then proceeded to both fire their respective Head Coaches and GMs within 24 hours.
Somehow, these pathetic franchises are somehow better thanDetroit, which with yesterday's big victory climbed to 3-13-1 on the season. The Lions go into 2022 with some decent draft capital ... and Jared Goff under a significant contract at QB.
The three other NFC North teams have been the gift that keeps on giving to the Green Bay Packers.
Let's hope the Spielman/Zimmer & Pace/Nagy successors continue that tradition.
Broncos requested permission to interview Packersβ OC Nathaniel Hackett for their HC job, per source.

He's what, 63? And he's had some health issue. I think he is going to retire and spend more time with his smokeshow girlfriend.

This one is a SHOCKER!

Was that supposed to be a positive? He's Stafford without the arm.
If their coach was fired I believe
