Regardless of what happens the rest of the way MLF has exceeded all expectations by far. I also really like Gute's aggressiveness. He's not been perfect by any means but if he makes a mistake he just keeps moving forward instead of living with it forever like his predecessor.

One has to like the fact that MLF is going for his 8th straight division victory, against Detroit, this Sunday, since becoming Head Coach.

Masterful job Sunday of exposing Mike Zimmer's defense.

And still learning on the job.

So far, he's demonstrated a knack for winning close games and for winning some games they really shouldn't have. We'll have to see if that regresses to the mean, but it often suggests someone willing to make adjustments to the specific situation.

The four games he's lost were

1-2. Two blowouts to the Niners on the road - a team they just don't match up well with.

3. A complete offensive meltdown against the Chargers when the strength of the 2019 team (the two offensive tackles) got completely overrun.

4. A loss to the Eagles at home where Rodgers threw an interception that hit MVS in the chest at the goal line with less than 30 seconds left. MVS had his arms wrapped up by the Eagles CB at the time. This was also a game where Adams was going wild but hurt his toe and missed a large portion of the second half. This is the only close game the Packers have lost under MLF.

The common denominator in all the losses has been getting gashed against the run by the defense.

Eagles 33 carries for 176 yards

Chargers 38-159

Niners playoff 42-285

Niners 22-112 (but George Kittle 6 catches for 129)

Basically, the biggest factor in these was poor ILB play (or interior DL play) in the middle of the field.

KFAN has been a joy to listen to this season for obvious reasons.

But one delicious item has been the absolute brow beating of the fact that the Vikings have nothing but old coaches with dated schemes and ideas. Capers name is brought up along with Zimmer of course.

Another name pissing them off? Matt LaFleur. They have major Penis envy of his creativity and running innovative offenses. They have said on multiple occasions LaFleur makes Zimmer look like an idiot and he has absolutely no answers
