Well this SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Green Bay Packers today announced that there will be no fans in attendance at 2020 training camp practices, Packers Family Night and any home preseason games.

“The tremendous support of cheering fans at Lambeau Field motivates all of us in the Packers organization,” said Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy. “But after consulting with local health officials and reviewing League and CDC guidelines, we felt we needed to make this difficult decision. We will miss seeing so many of our fans, particularly the young ones, during this exciting time of year. We will continue to work on the protocols and logistics in the hope that we can welcome fans back to Lambeau Field for the regular season without jeopardizing the health of our players, team personnel and fans.

Assuming some form of preseason actually happens (much less a regular season as BK and others have noted), not being able to attend practice is not a big loss, excepting the traditional bike riding.
Since the PS games are shown on local affiliates, being able to watch TV is the next best thing. Maybe even better!
But the loss of Family Night is a real stinker. I'd hope the team could make this available on local stations (The Packer Network?), self-produce a live video stream, or get real crazy and set up screens in LF parking lot, making a drive-in movie-type environment possible.

               woooooooooooooo!!!!!     hooooooooooooooooooo !!!!!!

T O U C H D O W N     P A C K E R S

awesome + amazing

the look on D Greens face,  priceless

and the refs got it right

The tears of Joy I felt after that play with the Packers beating the Vikings AGAIN!!

Absolutely effing priceless & I'm happy it made the top 100 because that play is DEFINITELY in the top 100 of All-Time

The reason this sucks is that myself, as well as many others was looking forward to the multiple reports from fans that get posted on X4 during practices.   It was something I was really looking forward to after months of Covid and politics.   Now, NOTHING!!!!

More joy.

Jesus fuck.  Let us know when Georgia stops banning masks ordinances.

From the Atlantic article:

In countries with uncontained spread of the virus, such as the U.S., exactly what the herd-immunity threshold turns out to be could make a dramatic difference in how many people fall ill and die. Without a better plan, this threshold—the percentage of people who have been infected that would constitute herd immunity—seems to have become central to our fates.

Some mathematicians believe that it’s much lower than initially imagined. At least, it could be, if we choose the right future.

The reason old Zdogg pisses me off is because he's kicking around best case scenarios of 20% while putting it out there like it's a fucking cure all instead of the god damn Hail Mary it really is.  It's not too hard to see this guy's intent after having to shift his original bullshit opinion as he continues his "castrophization" narrative.

I would say the reality is an effective vaccine is created or we reach herd immunity with a lot of people dying because of "personal liberties".

There may be football but it'll be about money not fucking Zdogg.

Agreed.  Just wear a mask.  Even if your local government says it's OK not to wear a mask....and even if you don't think it helps...just wear a mask to show you care about others.  Social distance when you can and f you can...try to stay away from crowds when you do go out and about.  If EVERYONE can TRY to do this...we can get closer to "normal" sooner rather than later.

Good sign.

Went to my favorite Packer bar, the other night, to get my take out order. The place was about half full and I was the only one there wearing a mask! This was after the Governor put his mask order into effect, too! The Packers should reach out to their loyal Packer bars and tell them, directly, to wear masks, so we are able to have a season this Fall. Why risk everyone's health? Wear a mask and keep socially distant!

The Sturgis motorcycle rally is an impending disaster. I've driven through there at this time of year and you can't find a restaurant or a bar that isn't packed. This could ignite cases everywhere, especially in rural areas as the bikers stop at restaurants and hotels along the I-90 corridor.  The participants are also very likely to skew towards thinking COVID is a hoax as well. This has the potential to really explode case numbers in the upper Midwest.

Were they socially distanced? The people working didn't have masks?

People were socially distant by tables, each table was 6 feet away from the nearest table but there were 4-6 people per table with no one wearing masks and none of the workers had masks, either. People were also seated at the bar. Families with their kids seated in booths, too. Not a single mask to be seen, other than mine.

I see a lot of that here in Tennessee. Half-assed efforts that have no chance of stopping a highly-transmissible virus. My wife and I went into a cabinet/plumbing shop today. One other customer there and he's got a loose bandana around his neck. Every once in a while he pulls it up over his nose and holds it there for a few seconds. Then he lets it go and it falls back around his neck. We did not stay long.

I think we may be headed for another lockdown in late September, or sometime very soon, due to Covidiots being irresponsible.  That is, if our Governor has the authority to protect lives during a pandemic. Yesterday, "Red" Mississippi put a mask order in place and said they will delay the opening of schools, statewide. I wonder if Vos and Fitzy saw that story, or, maybe, the Wisconsin Supreme Court saw it? Whatever the case, it does not look good for having an NFL season, anytime soon. Stay safe! Wear a mask, wash your hands and keep socially distant and away from covidiots!

Where I live in Illinois, most of the Bar/Restaurants have social distancing and the employees all wear masks. For those that aren't comfortable inside, most of them have patios for outdoor dining. They are limited to 50% capacity. As long as you are at your table, you are allowed to have your mask off. You are supposed to put it on if you go to the restroom or get up for any reason. Of course there are always people who don't think it applies to them. Some bars even have partitions for bar seating. One of our favorite sports bars isn't playing by the rules so we don't go there anymore.

We were in Port Washington WI over the 4th of July weekend and the Bars/Restaurants we visited the employees were wearing masks. Everyone seemed to be following distancing guidelines so it was a quite enjoyable weekend except for the heat. In the 90's by the lake.

Well, Port Washington is a civilized city. No surprise. Try Marinette county. Wife and I were there last week and we got lots of funny looks for wearing masks.

The Nigerian prince scheme only works if they can't see you.

Wish I would’ve known that you could’ve looked me up bro!

Packers announced that there will be NO fans in the stands for the 1st 2 Packer home games. The games are Sept 20 vs. Lions and Oct. 5th vs Falcons.

I hope they don't pipe in crowd noise. I would be great to hear the real sounds of the games.

Masks are required in stores here. I went to Home Depot to grab some paint a couple of days ago and while perusing the offerings, some yokel walks up beside me with his mask around his neck while eating a candy bar.

Love that city. When COVID is no longer a thing I'm totally coming up for the fish festival. I was planning on doing that this year but for COVID.
