Not gonna happen -- maybe it does make sense to go for 2 every single time no matter what.

I don't like the "leading with the helmet" rule and think the non-call was correct.  Two players are diving, one to the pylon and the other at the defender.  How can you determine a player in that situation intended to create "helmet to helmet" contact.  I think the rule is horseshit, especially when a play can be ultra-slowed down in replay.

Never the less, like it or not,  it is the rule.

USE OF THE HELMET – RULE 12, SECTION 2, ARTICLE 8 The Rule: As approved by NFL clubs in March, it is a foul if a player lowers his head to initiate and make contact with his helmet against an opponent. Contact does not have to be to an opponent’s head or neck area – lowering the head and initiating contact to an opponent’s torso, hips, and lower body, is also a foul. Violations of the rule will be easier to see and officiate when they occur in open space – as opposed to close line play – but this rule applies anywhere on the field at any time.

I get it's the rule, I just don't like it.

I think it's nearly impossible in game time speed to see a bunch of the calls or non-calls. I think they should be reviewable, maybe like college.  Or at least challengeable.  Same with hitting the QB in the head.  Sone of those calls in real time look way worse than they really are.

I may need to watch the replay again (and again), but I'm not sure the KC defender lowered his head to initiate contact.
He was definitely going for the player, but it was like he was on a flat plane.

Breeland would look good replacing King.

I never understood why we let Breeland go. He played pretty well for the Pack once he got healthy and he signed a relatively cheap deal with KC. I think it was for about $4M a year if I remember correctly.

@Bob I think that’s a foregone conclusion.

HEY! Someone tell me about Crosby please.

Yah, I want to know too. He was able to still kick after the injury but my guess is that the medical staff wants to see if it gets worse over the week. If he is in great pain then it can effect him because it takes the whole body swinging into the kick and the mindset as well. And our special teams may need a tackler.

I'll bet KC fans feel a lot like Packers fans right now.
Bitching about how they are the better team, but 'allowing' the Browns to stay in the game might bite them on the ass.
Add the Mahomes situation increases that angst.
