not a good weekend for ex-Packers:

Chiefs released OLB Frank Zombo.

Zombo spent the last five seasons as a special teamer and reserve edge rusher for Kansas City, compiling 5.5 sacks and a pair of forced fumbles. Zombo's versatility should earn him a look from depth-needy teams.

Wouldn't be horrible to bring in as OLB depth...

Still thin at depth for G, Aboushi is a good pass blocker but weak at run blocking:

Raiders released OG Oday Aboushi.

Aboushi followed OL coach Tom Cable to Oakland from Seattle after he started eight games for an overrun Seahawks line last year. The former fifth-rounder should resurface elsewhere as an interior depth piece.

Another one of Ted Thompson toasted turds:

Bills waived WR Malachi Dupre.

A Packers seventh-round pick in last year's draft, Dupre got beaten out in Buffalo by undrafted rookie Robert Foster. Bills beat writers believe Dupre is a practice squad candidate, but it's never a good sign when you can't crack the bottom of the depth chart for the league's weakest wide receiver corps.

Zombo will always be able to show his grandkids a Super Bowl ring and tell them sacking Ben Roethlisberger forced a longer FG that was missed.

That ain’t bad.

That plus the 4.2 million he made during the last 4 years isn't bad.

Shields survived cut down with the Rams. I wish him well. That is until we play them.

Sam had a very Sam like pick last week. Geared up and went underneath a shallow cross and brought a pick back inside the 10.

Its crazy how football fast he is.

Plus after he sacked a QB - he got to make the Zorro sign with his Foil.
