Saw that report earlier. On one hand he's had foot issues and just underwent another procedure. He's only played all 16 games once in his career.

On the other he did run for over 1,000 yards last year on 244 carries and has never carried it more than 270 times in a season. He's missed 12 games in 6 years. Missing 12 games in 2 years is standard issue for GB running backs. He has tread left. Solid catching passes as well.

Same age as Dujuan Harris.

If the price is right Harris and Bradshaw isn't bad. I just don't think the price is going to be all that attractive.

I think it's tough to keep two brittle running backs around with Starks already on the roster. I'd bet Bradshaw is going to get a bit too much for the Packers liking. If he's still unsigned after the season starts (not likely) and they're desperate (hopefully not likely, but given everything....likely) they may make a move on him.

If there's one free agent I'd like it would be Laron Landry. I think pretty optimistically of McMillian for next year but Landry gives size, experience, and most importantly sure tackling to the defense. He also forced four fumbles this year The Packers have so many holes on defense and this is the one guy available that can be that crucial difference maker. Very rarely in the NFL does a safety of his caliber at 28 years old become available. This is the guy that can play closer to a Collins, Reed, Polamalu difference maker level. Injury risk to be sure but he made it through all 16 last year. A core guy you can build around. You need one at every level of the defense.

“I went home a couple times, talking to my family and said, ‘Bro, I feel like I’m in my rookie year again. Fast as sh--,’” Landry said. “It’s been that way building this season.”

Thanks to a manic rehab schedule that includes an additional two hours of treatments with personal trainers five days a week at home or at the team hotel on gameday mornings, Landry says his health is no longer an issue. “Healthwise,” he said, “I’m back.”nydailynews.com
Bradshaw only appeals to me at a Benson price tag, which he won't get. Canty on the other hand is worth a look if he can be had on a Philip Merling/Anthony Hargrove-type tryout deal. At 6'7, I think he'd be the tallest DLineman by 5 inches.

Just because they haven't been able to do it doesn't mean it's not important. The Packers actually ran the ball more than the Giants last year. The problem was it's ineffectiveness. It goes without saying that they need to be able to run the ball better. Flicking it around all over the field has proven time and again to be a path to coming up short in the playoffs.

Bingo.....that would make mediocre backs into good backs in a hurry....help with the flinging it all over the yard game better too. Perhaps even extend #12's longevity.

whhaaawhhaiiitttt...I thought campen was the problem?

Someone is sad. Frowner

You do know Campen is the oline coach and responsible for the development of the oline?

It's easy to get flustered when you're having a fit because people were mean to your copy and paster buddy, purveyor of JerseyAl copy and pasting.

Scrubs not the best choice of words then. Maybe underachieving or underdeveloped. Scrubs conveys a "never had it, never will" vibe.

And I will note again, I don't know for sure but I'm sure both Al's like the attention to increase their site visits so feel free to continue being mean and encouraging others to do the same.

Cripes, I think I should start a blog...I think I could pay for a annual vacation year with daily hits from the subset group.
Multiple foot surgeries, six years in the league, and had to spend a lot of time off the practice field just to be able to play on Sunday. Guy is really tough and makes plays, but that's a lot of baggage for a 6-year running back in the NFL who made over $3 million last year. Not saying he won't be signed for less by someone, but to put things in perspective, the Packers spent just over $4 million on ALL of their offensive tackles last year according to Boris's salary website here: NFL Salaries by team/position

No bid for Ahmad Bradshaw. If you are gonna spend money at the RB position, it has to be a stud with upside in my view, otherwise you are better off putting your resources towards the OL/DL/LB positions.
With Ted it all comes down to how much it will take to sign Bradshaw and if he can pick up the Blitz. Picking up Blitzer may be even more important then how well a running back runs to the Packers.

Limburger, hmm i use to know a Limburger form New Berlin.
I really like Ahmad Bradshaw. He's a high effort runner who makes defenses pay for not respecting him. He's a better signing now than Benson was a year ago in my opinion.

IF they sign Bradshaw I think we will definitely see 4 RBs kept.

Looking purely at RBs/FBs the NYG ran more, but yes, effectiveness was an issue early in the season. IMO, some of that was OL play (Saturday), some of that was timing of / play selection (McCarthy and AR), and some of that was average rushers.

I liked what I saw from Harris, the question with him will be durability based on his size. 5'7" and 197 is light in the britches. If he were 210 I'd think he could hold up for 20 carries a game for 16+ weeks.
I like Bradshaw, but can't envision TT offering more money than Pittsburgh. I wouldn't mind upgrading the RB position, but am comfortable with what's there. I've never quite understood the argument that Harris is too small to be an every down back. He's built like a fire plug and his talent will determine that.

Was born in New Berlin, but spent the more formative years north of Silver Spring Road. Probably doesn't qualify Smiler

Do you have a brother named Larry?

Lets see, in 2007 he played in 12 games (rookie), 2008 15, 2009 15, 2010 16, 2011 12, and 2012 14.

There is a red flag because of his foot, but he's still played...and 2 of the last 3 seasons he had over 1,000 yards rushing and around 250 yards receiving. He also averages 4.6 yards per carry for his career.

He's a quality RB, with tread left on the tires...more than Cedric Benson showed last season.
