Any idea if a potential compensatory pick would factor into it?

Mark it down!

The performance of these teams this year depends on how healthy they actually are.

Atlanta was a train wreck last year, of course. IIRC, their OL was decimated at multiple (all?) positions in addition to the assortment of other injuries.

The NFCS will likely be the weakest division again this year, and 8 or 9 wins can get the guaranteed playoff berth. Matty Ass can easily be a 8 or 9 game winner.

Washington's fortune will rise or fall with RG3. If he can regain some mobility, speed, and confidence, they can compete in a relatively weak division, excepting DallAss.

I'm interested in why you picked the 'Skins, Boris. Do you think they have enough skill players, depth, etc? I thought they were mostly puny on both sides of the ball last year, especially on offense, and didn't have a lot of guys developing, and enough talent to be a real contender.

La'El agent said he wouldn't sign with anyone if he wasn't selected by round 3.

What I don't get about him choosing Dallas and Dallas giving him $1.7 million guaranteed is that he's only playing if Ronald Leary is told to get lost. Leary has started 31 games and has played great between Fredrick and Smith. Leary has played his ass off and was rewarded with a 1 year extension for $585k. The weak link on that line is Doug Free. He's signed through 2017.

While I kinda' sorta' get La'El's youthful enthusiasm that this Dallas OL could be the greatest offensive line of all time. It won't be the greatest offensive line of all time in Dallas. It won't be one of the 10 best all time Period. Once you get past the 1992 Cowboys. 1966 Packers. 1978 Rams, 1982 Oilers, 1974 Cardinals, 1983 Redskins you start getting to the next level of greatness. The 1976 Raiders OL included Upshaw, Shell, Dalby, Buehler, and Vella coached by Madden who worshipped the blocking strategy of Lombardi. If you buy into the lore of Madden he spent two solid months teaching Dave Dalby the Lombardi art and importance of center in the summer of 1975 after Jim Otto retired. Dalby was drafted in 1972 out of UCLA. Madden subscribed to Lombardi perfection from his OL.

The 2015 Cowboy line is good. But it's not much better than the Packers line of 2015. And its certainly not going to be one of the best ever. Ever.

I dont get Collins signing with Dallas.  Since he doesn't have his draft slot to drive up his price, he needs to prove it on the field.  But that means actually getting on the field which in Dallas, will be a challenge.  I thought a place like Denver made more sense; an established, good offense with multiple holes on the OL.

One of the better things to come out of the CBA. No more effing around to make the agents look good. Get em into camp and commence the brainwashing....err.. orientation.

#1 pick in the draft should carry a non negotiable 4 year $45 million with $25 million guaranteed price tag. Make teams think twice about sucking for the top pick. Would have been fun watching Tampa on the clock with that price tag around Winston's neck.

#3 pick goes down.

@ESPNdirocco: Dante Fowler Jr just went down holding left knee. Got hurt in 11 on 11.

Jaguars first-round draft pick Dante Fowler sustained a lower body injury during today's opening minicamp practice.

Fowler crumpled to the ground after taking a step in a 11-on-11 team drill. He needed the help of two trainers to gingerly walk to the trainers tent

Minutes later, Fowler was carted back into the stadium.

11 on 11 drills are not allowed under the CBA at this time. So the Jags appear to have been in violation of the rules when this happened.

EDIT:

Upon further reading, the "Phase 3" part of the CBA may only apply to veterans.

You talk about a lost cause, H5.

We can ask, beg, threaten...and people are stuck in their ways and will NOT change. One would think the results are obvious, but they are blind, stupid, or just don't care.

That just sucks. I wanted to watch him play this year.

Feel really bad for him & Jags. Loved when he came out during the draft with those gold shoes on. That was great.

Definite gloom on the local news tonite.

Shad Khahn trying to do everything right.

This team still may win 7-8 games this year-----laugh, but that will be progress.Gus Bradley is a good man. Bortles will be OK.

I think the NFL has to let Seattle make a decision on where they want to go with Frank Clark.

But....I would think the NFL has to at least warn Seattle that the slightest eff up by Clark and it's going to be a really bad form of discipline. This guy has all the makings of the last thing the league needs.

What a grand effing day this was.

Bobby Bowden says Jameis was an embarrassment to Florida State.

Then Michael Irvin says he can be a resource to Randy Gregory.

My goodness. How many "you spelled dealer wrong Michael" jokes can the Internet handle tonight?

and one more note on the 2015 draft... it was a success for the moneymakers

and more change is on the horizon. A draft orgy perhaps ?

"The commissioner was kidding when he said, ‘Seven rounds, seven days, seven states,’ right?

While that is extreme, the idea of a single-venue experience is all but over after Chicago’s rousing display."
