Ahmad Carroll wore # 28 as a Packer.
This article is a good read:
I love Dyami Brown. Heβs easily the most underrated WR in this draft, I really think heβs going to follow in the footsteps of underrated receivers like Davante and Gerg Jennings, who didnβt really seem to be on anyoneβs radar prior to the draft. I donβt see Dyami getting the hype that others are getting even though he probably has the best release and route running in the whole draft.
Virginia Edge Charles Snowden is a super intriguing physical specimen. 6β7β, 245 lbs and moves like this! Broke his ankle in November so no workout numbers, but supposedly he was timed in the 4.5βs last year. Catch him R4 maybe?
I like his film. He sure wraps up good, and has good change-of-direction skills.
PFF rates him a 6th round developmental linebacker who teams could try to put on the edge. I disagree with their assessment, based on his film. I think this is the type of player you want developing behind Z.
We'll see what the league thinks come draft time.
Here's a D-linemen for you. He may be unproven, but what he has, athletically, can't be taught...you could argue his arms aren't long enough, and that could affect his ability to shed blocks, but this guy can motor.
Louisiana Tech
DI Milton Williams
Height: 6'3β³ (50th percentile)
Weight: 284 (17th)
Arm: 31 1/2 (5th)
Vertical: 39 (99th)
Broad jump: 121 (97th)
Bench: 34 (91st)
40-yard: 4.62 (99th)
Short shuttle: 4.25 (97th)
3-cone: 6.87 (100th)
Late-round linebacker?
LB Nick Niemann Iowa
Height: 6'3β³ (87th percentile)
Weight: 234 (36th)
Vertical: 33.5 (42nd)
Broad: 121 (73rd)
Bench: 19 reps (32nd)
40-yard: 4.45 (97th)
Short shuttle: 4.14 (85th)
3-cone: 6.67 (98th)
...and a safety... aside from a poor 3-cone, these are good measurables...
S Tyler Coyle Purdue
Height: 6'1β³ (66th percentile)
Weight: 209 (70th)
Arm: 32 3/8 (78th)
Vertical: 39 (85th)

Short shuttle: 4.00 (93rd)
3-cone: 7.14 (18th)
No hand size posted in any of those. RedFlag?
Here's my newest mock. I went with Caleb Farley, at 29, as he had fallen a bit. I couldn't pass up his speed.

No...that's all that was posted...these are from PFF.

Kind of light. What happens to his level of play if he has to put on 15 pounds? That's always a concern with these guys.
I 100 percent agree Henry. As much as I like the two young guys we have, this guy could really jack up our D.
Why would you want the D jacked up?

Because they've been kinda' flat...
I'd like to see the draft unfold where the Packers could stay put at 29 and select Barmore or one of the better CB prospects, then trade up to pick Collins fairly high in the 2nd round.
I'm not sold on Barmore, any more. His agility scores were well below the Packers' threshold... his overall RAS score is 8.22, and he didn't bench, or do any leaping or jumping at his Pro Day...
I really like Farley but the medical stuff is a huge concern. Apparently he was cleared by doctors at his medical recheck but it's still a risk. It's also a huge reward as without the medical concerns he's probably a lock for the top ten. I did read that his back issues and surgery were he same as Rob Gronkowski had. He fell to the second round because of it and we all know how that turned out. Huge risk, but huge reward.
It'd depend on who is there. If an impact OL, CB or ILB was not there at #29 then I'd be ok taking Farley.
At least his name isn't Charles Ulysses...Farley

If Farley makes it to #29, his medicals are a mess and no thanks. He missed 2017 with a non-contact ACL, two games in 2019 with back spasms and now has had the back surgery. If medicals actually check out, he should be the first corner off the board.
@Chongo posted:Farley has a bad back that caused him to sit out 2020. He also missed his pro day because of a back issue.
Hard pass for me. I'd be OK with either Barmore or Collins at 29...I expect Gurtie to move up though to get someone around 21-24.
With Farley, I see Justin Harrell 2.0
But he could be Rob Gronkowski 2.0. Not sure Gute has drafted a big injury risk yet, so he may weigh medicals more than TT did.
If I did not pick Farley, my first pick would have been Zaven Collins.
Per my ESPN+ account Kiper has us taking.
@29 Rashod Bateman wr Minnesota
@62 Jackson Carman ot Clemson
Not sold on Bateman. Overrated.
Come back in five years and tell me I'm wrong.

wonder how this flies with rest of the NFL.
@Packmeister posted:92.
Benjamin St-Juste

This is the one I disagree with. I just don't care for him.

Copy that...by end of round 3, the pickins', they gets a lot slimmer at CB.
Another good article from Acme Packing Co.
We keep looking for a WR to fill the Tyler Irvin role, but isn't Irvin himself just a small quick RB?
@YATittle posted:Replacement possibilities at Center
They will never go for Creed Humphrey as he will be the second C off the board and his upside isn't as high, IMO, as another C, like Slater. Picking a C early is a viking thing to do. I can see Gute picking Dalman on Day Three, maybe in the 5th round, and developing him. Who I'd like to see come to GB is Rashawn Slater. He is listed as the best Center AND the best Guard on some analysts' pages. His versatility is what Gute seems to value in an O Lineman. Gute would have to move into the Top Ten spots to get him though, and that is a little too much to expect. But, it's the draft and it's Gute doing the picking, so who knows?
