Rodgers to SF makes so much sense.

ARod returns "home" to make a SB run with the first top defense he's had in over a decade;

Gutey opens it up for his QB to take over;

The Pack's salary cap concerns over the next couple of years disappear; and

The Pack loads up on premium draft picks (and maybe a player or 2) so that they can continue to be "competitive" and regularly win the NFC North.

Now, that management can paint Rodgers as the villian, Gutey should get er done to ensure the Packer management dream of another decade of NFC North competitiveness.

Those NFC North Champions banners really mean a lot. What does it say when teams are spending ridiculous amounts of draft capital to try to find a QB that can win a Super Bowl and the Packers appear to be doing everything they can to get rid of an MVP QB and hand the reigns over to an unproven guy. If Love turns out to be good, they'll look like geniuses. If Love busts, the entire front office is gone in 3 years.

I say this not because Iโ€™m down on Rodgers  or high on Love, but the Packers are more than 1-2 players away IMO.  This team wonโ€™t beat a healthy TB or KC team.

Dude we were 1-2 PLAYS away last year, and we have the same team this year.  I seriously can't believe people think we don't have a SB capable team right now.  We just need our star players to play like it and not shit the bed like they did in the NFFC game.  That includes Rodgers.

Itโ€™s fun to banter about it, but considering what LA gave up to get Matt Stafford- who is probably 2/3 the QB that Rodgers is - it would take multiple 1sts (including #3 overall) and multiple players likely to include Warner, McGlinchy, Deebo Samuel, and maybe another key guy to make it work.

So letโ€™s say that is the proposal- #3 overall, their next 2 #1s and those 3 players would you do it?   #3 overall would have a lot of value to someone wanting a QB.  You could flip that for more picks and players.

Three firsts, Warner, Samuel and McGlinchey? I'd take that in a heartbeat.

Rodgers stayed healthy and had his best year.  They didnโ€™t retain Linsley.  Corner and backup corner is still a mess as is DL. Bak is still out for probably half the season.

So yes, I am concerned that they wonโ€™t be as good even with Rodgers.

TB is running everyone back and KC addressed most of their issues in the offseason.

So yes, the Packers are clearly 3rd behind both of those teams and maybe the Rams as well.
