I’m not exactly convinced PFF is the best source of reliable information on player performance.  I’ll listen to the players and coaches that actually know what’s up.

I can’t believe I am actually sounding like a Kevin King defender, but it’s tough to get past how he played against Tampa.   Not much different than Billy Turner.  Should we kick him to the curb because he had one awful game?   He’s an above average performer as well.

If the Packers could bring King back for 2-3MM on a 1 year deal I’d be totally fine with that.  Draft a corner to develop or sign a FA.  BTW, if you think Josh Jackson is better than Kevin King you need to have your head examined.  And he’s set to make almost 2MM this season.  JFC.

I am NOT a King fan at all (and haven't been for awhile) but if they can bring him back for a cheap "prove it" contract I would be ok with that.  If they can draft a young CB and groom him in the meantime I wouldn't hate that.  The biggest thing for me is he seems to always be hurt.

Good god Jackson is due about 2 M this year?  I can only describe that as robbery

I've seen Toney mocked to GB.

Just can't see Guten-free drafting a niche WR in RD1.  You'd have to see Smith or Waddle fall to 29 to have any chance.

Nah, still don't see him going WR there.

But I could see him move up in RD2 to get a guy.

I agreed with this take until I looked at this guy https://www.indystar.com/story...und-pick/4288368001/

It would go against the Packers history of drafting taller players but this guy would be a killer in the slot.

Interesting CB who opted out of 2020. Oregon CB Thomas Graham. I get some Jaire vibes from him although doesn't seem to have that high end speed, but I do get some heavy Casey Hayward vibes. Looks like a solid R2 pick for GB unless he tests like crazy.

You getting any other vibes there you flippin' hippy?

Nice highlight though.  Especially liked the ankle tackles.

Square peg - round hole. This isn't a slot guy for a team like GB or the Rams. They want big guys (6+ foot, 200+ lbs) in the slot that can actually lay out a block when they need it. They like guys like Lazard and Robert Woods in the slot.

Someone like Moore would be used in that jet sweep role like Ervin/Austin and I don't think that worth a high draft pick with all the other holes on this team.

Johnny Z would disagree with your assessment of Rondale Moore.

Sure, everyone would prefer to have a WR that’s 6’3” 220 that can run a 4.3-40.  But there aren’t many of those guys out there.

Rondale Moore has elite level speed and change of direction.   He’s a big play guy.  The Packers could use another big play guy on offense.  Not to mention he could be a stand out returner.

GB won’t have to worry about him anyway because he won’t last that long.

Oh I agree. With his size and injury history I think that the link has him drafted too high. However, I do think that he could drop as low as the third round.

Some here are asking GB to Franchise Tag  Jones. Anyone else think GB would do that?  I keep reading that letting Jones, or Williams, walk is why they drafted Dillon, in the first place. What would putting the tag on Jones do to his cap numbers?

It would destroy our cap. I’m assuming a franchise tag on a RB will be about 13 million?

I don’t believe the Packers will take OL, QB, ILB,  IDL, RB or WR in the first. I believe the only time they would take an OL is if its a transformational guy who they project as a starter for a decade. Right now I think in their mind Bakh is LT for 5 more years, Turner will start until he gets back and I have a hunch Jenkins may be kicked out to RT until Bakh returns. Patrick at C, Runyan at OG.

Packers will spend their first on an edge, CB or safety.

Miami Edges Greg Rousseau and Jaelan Phillips, UCF S Richie Grant, UCF CB Aaron Robinson, and FSU CB Asante Samuel are all candidates.

They will need to replace Preston, they will need to replace King, they could benefit from adding another athletic S that can line up as a LB or slot. WR, RB, LB will be rounds 4-7, possibly one of those in R3

I don't know, he's short and not fast , the second seems way high for him. I think his teammate, Deommodore Lenoir, would go higher, as well. He's not taller, but he's faster and looks smoother, though I doubt he goes early either.

If that's all you look at then yes I would agree. He's also highly instinctive, strong tackler, nose for the ball, led FBS in PBU's in 2019, etc. Guy gets after it. I'm guessing he runs ~4.48-4.5 in the 40. Big and fast isn't everything, look at Kevin King.

I actually don’t care what positions they draft in the top couple of rounds. It would be nice if a couple of the top 3 round picks could contribute immediately.  There have been way too many misses from the top 3 rounds of the draft the last 5-6 years.  Aside from QB, is there any position in the starting 22 that couldn’t use an upgrade with a stud first or second rounder?

Same things were said about Josh Jackson, though. If a guy can’t match up with a receiver, he’s going to struggle.

How would people feel about an "All-In" draft?

In this scenario the Packers big signing is JJ Watt, Linsley, Tonyan, Irvin and Lewis. Some veteran corner and some veteran defensive lineman who is decent, as well.

Jones and Williams likely gone. RB rotation likely Dillon, Taylor and Jefferson, unless Williams comes back

Two pretty safe, instant, quality starters at positions of need are both there at #30, using Surtain and Zaven Collins in this scenario. To get both, Green Bay has to trade next year's #1, this year's #2, and a conditional pick (as well as trading around a bit).

The draft yields:

CB Patrick Surtain II

LB Zaven Collins

S Tariq Thompson

OT Cole Van Lanen

OLB Patrick Johnson

WR D'Wayne Eskridge

RB Jermar Jefferson

DL Mustafa Johnson

So 12 picks for eight players, including next-year's first and a decent pick next year or the year after, but get starting (stud CB), starting (stud LB), swing/starting OT, big nickel/nickel/safety depth, Edge depth/potential Preston Smith replacement, speedy gadget receiver, quick back, DL depth with some pass rush upside.

Would you want them to do it?

I like the idea but I’ve seen some mock drafts with both Surtain and Collins going in the top 15.  For GB to move up even into the top 15 they’d have to likely give up next years 1 and this years 2 and that’s a lot to give up for 1 player.  But I agree - if you knew you could get both Surtain and Collins for this years 1, next years 1, and their 2nd rounder this year I’d make that move in a NY minute.

Depending on what teams think of Surtain and his value he might go top 10.
