We already have a our cover guy in Jaire. Molden gives us a more athletic Michah Hyde!  I normally hate Pac-12 guys and specifically Washington guys but this guy you can’t help but like. He is sooo instinctive. Spent a lot of time watching him.  Gonna be a star. I don’t think you could go wrong with either but Molden can be got in 2nd probably and matches up perfectly for what Barry wants to deploy in his slot heavy mold defense. He is physical enough to hold up there too.  Huge value in 2nd! It’s a “Perfect Fit”

I think Savage is a rich man’s Micah Hyde. He really started to come on strong in the second half of the year, think his trajectory is sky high. I hear you on Molden though and getting more bang for your buck, but I think if you believe a guy like Newsome is a future all pro in the mold of Jaire then you better get him. Too many CBs is a good problem to have. We can find DL depth in free agency and the mid-rounds.

Molden is a Corner though and that’s what he played at in college.  They did move him around a little because of what a weapon he was for their defense. Out of all the ones I’ve looked at in depth he is the most fundamentally strong and instinctive when going over all the tape. He is a “Ball Hawk” as well.  I used the “Hyde Comparison” based on instincts. I am applying him as a day 1 slot as that is where many scouts project him plug and play which is a huge need in Barry’s scheme as he even discussed. Molden was successful playing both man and zone concepts in college. Washington doesn’t have their pro day until the 30th so it’s a wait and see on what he runs. I imagine if he tests well he could pass Newsome.  His tape is certainly A+.

its difficult this year with no combine and everyone testing at different times.

13 picks now sweet Jebus...

kinda cool in this crazy year. The scouts couldn't see as much live action nor speak with coaches as much as they did in a normal year. It could be an opportunity for the better scouting teams to secure a few gems that slipped thru the cracks

Yeah, I was like 13 draft picks?  Not even sure the Packers could sign them all in their current cap state.  10 is what I thought it would be with the comp pick expectations. Still a lot of firepower to maneuver up the board.

I want Kadarius Toney in the 1st round.  You look at his skill set and how he could fit into the MLF playbook and offense and the possibilities are endless.  He can lose people over the middle. “Stir the Drink” in the middle of the field and just open the whole thing up for other guys. He can break and beat Press Coverage which we really needed in the both Tampa games. He destroyed both really talented Bama and LSU defenses. He is almost Tyreek Hill’esk in his stop and start ability. He tracks the ball better then I expected and has pretty good ball skills. He projects then more then a gadget guy to me. Not many drops and good hands. Very Explosive!  Has the ability to take a 5 yard in to the house and give this offense some Chunk Plays that are going to be needed with no AJ coming back. If he can make it to the lower to mid 20’s I’d love to see Gute pull the trigger and take some of the pressure off AR12.

it would also help free Adams up more who is the highest graded 1 on 1 receiver in the league. I want to keep Adams in those matchups as Much as possible. Toney could be a Game Changer for this offense.

Long snapper?  Punter?  QB?   All in play now.

Punter please. At the very LEAST Opie needs some decent competition. The Packers having the number 1 scoring offense in the NFL hid a lot of his warts.

Yeah, I don't know what the deal with JK Scott was this year.  My recollection was that in 2019 he actually graded out very well as a Punter, but watching him in 2020, his play failed the eye test to be sure.  And he was ridiculously bad when any ball carrier came anywhere close to him.

I would agree that at the very least, the Pack needs to look at some real competition for Scott just to give him a kick in the ass.

His change of direction is unique.  Incredibly sudden.  He's breaking ankles out there.

Yeah, Nobody could cover or keep up with him at Senior Bowl Week practices either. He didn’t play in the game but really didn’t need too. He put on a “Smoke Show.”

You get that guy and then sign Corey Davis in FA running the 2, get Bak healthy with AJ Dillon punching the defense in the mouth!  MVS would then be matched up on safeties all the time getting easy blow by’s. Adams getting 1 on 1 virtually all the time. I don’t care who our boundary corner is at that point. We’d actually see Jordan Love because Rodgers would be wearing his ball cap on the sideline in the 3rd-4th qtr and we’d be able to run defenses even like Tampa off the field! Of course staying healthy is always a factor.

That’s my Dream Scenario.

Hey new guy, you write well. What's your story?

Well I live here in Green Bay, Wisconsin(My House Is Few Blocks From Lambeau Field) and I was born and raised here although well traveled in adult life. I’ve been following the team since I was a kid sitting on my Grandpa’s lap as he was sitting on the couch yelling at the TV screen drinking beer watching Lynn Dickey.  Moved back here from Seattle in 2018 to finish out what I thought was going to be a great run that has left me a bit dissatisfied. Obviously no training camp to attend last year and games did not help. I’m really just a die hard Packer fan who played a lot of football myself all the way through college so there is the passion part of it.

Quite Franky though I’m just at the point where I’m burnt out on this front office.  As you posted I’m not convinced they are going the right way about this whole thing and way too much has already been left on the table.  With the power structure in place they just appear so steadfast on doing “just Enough” and it gets frustrating. We could dive into many directions here and paths but I will just leave it at that for now.

Congrats on living in the shadow of mecca ! We park on Stadium Drive and I always dream about what it would be like to live there.

GB-Brandon I'm a GB native also, but a bit older than you. I was born in '44 and started sneaking in to old City Stadium in '54. Just kickin back in AZ for the last twenty years.

I’ll probably be joining you in some form rather quickly as the Rodgers era ends and retreat to the gulf coast Tampa area.

It’s been pretty amazing but this last season it felt so disconnected that the team wasn’t even here at times. And I was even renting a room out to a Packer intern!

Not a terribly good year for P in the draft...our best shot UDFA, but yes, Opie needs someone to light a fire under his arse.

Not to break up the conversation about all things Green Bay, but here is a take on the interior D-linemen in this year's draft. Interestingly, not one guy is rated a first round prospect. Granted, it's only one person's opinion.

Yea, it’s a weak D-Line class overall which might cause some teams to reach but the right guys are there to target. If they want to target early then Davion Nixon I think would be the guy. He is SEC Vetted(recruited heavy by Bama) and was just the workhorse on that Iowa front and made the whole thing tick. He is relentless and non-stop. Has all the talent to transition to next level. Would be an immediate upgrade.  Will most likely require some type of trade up.

Another guy that I have as a sleeper that I really enjoyed watching all season  is CJ Brewer out of Coastal Carolina. I think he could be a day 3 guy and there could be something there. He “Plays Violent” and that’s what is needed more of up front on this Packer front.  Kind of a more talented Mike Daniels with more twitch and foot speed.
