The Browns are on the hook for IIRC nearly 5 million regardless of what team OBJ signs with. So like Jaylan, he’ll still be paid regardless. He might as well sign with a contender and be paid too.

Now the Packers locker room wanting him is another story. Wouldn’t shock me if they’d welcome him, but how he’d actually fit in is what I’d question. A lot of unselfish dudes in there like Lazard who are content blocking their asses off so other guys get their yards etc.

This.  And I'm wondering if he has much left in the tank.  It's not like he's been setting the world on fire that past few years.

If we hope to get back to the business at hand, which to me is vying for a ring, we need to put the Rodgers thing in the rear view, get him healthy and cleared, and set about getting win #8. The last thing this team really needs is more circus at this point. I'm not even sure what Beckham would bring to this team or this wr corps, but I'm old enough to remember the coup of signing John Jefferson to go with a hof guy in Lofton. That panned out about as well as I believe this one would. I'll pass on Beckham.

Same.

Not sure what he brings to this whole menagerie at this point.  Everything is relatively in place.

How would GB use OBJ?….

In Green Bay, Beckham could run his share of in-breaking and go routes within Matt LaFleur’s scheme and mostly against single coverage, given how often teams shade help to Adams. He’d no longer be tasked with being the offense’s No. 1 option in the passing game, and there’d be no complaining about the level of quarterback play. A tight, player-led locker room developed in Green Bay under LaFleur could be exactly what he needs at this career crossroads.

The fit makes sense for the Packers as well. Plugging in Beckham as the No. 2 receiver could turn Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb into hyper-specialized complementary players in the passing game while making defensive coordinators second guess all the double teams planned for Adams every week. With Robert Tonyan out for the season, adding another weapon in the passing game, even at receiver, could help. If the Packers really wanted to expand his role, an opportunity to fix the problem at punt returner could make sense.

You're making a good argument for it.  He is such a douche, though.  Combined with 12, it might give us the douchiest team in the NFL, especially now that the Raiders have cut Ruggs and Arnette.  What a "killer" draft that was!
