I think "reaching" for Safeties is not a good use of draft Capital.

Draft the best player regardless of position instead of  reaching & trying to fill "needs"

Other than where the safeties were selected I liked the first 3 rounds. Bo's brother and Trey Benson. Those are players I like. 🙂

Given the health of Stokes and the inconsistency of Nixon at slot corner, I think there a strong possibility they take a corner early in the draft.

As for safety, perhaps they look at adding a guy in free agency as it’s not a deep class in terms of high end prospects.

Old guy at a non-value position in the first and Guerendo in the 4th? That would definitely be a surprise.

Myles Cole is interesting. He seems like a guy Gutekunst would (have) love(d) (under Barry?) since he’s 6’6”, 275# and played a lot off the ball.

Sorry bout your sex life

When Gutekunst broke type with Wyatt and Walker, he did it with one aspect on each player.

Walker was young, athletic but didn't play a premium position, which Thompson and Gutekunst have stuck pretty close to over the years.

Wyatt was an athletic big man, but was older.

You have to admit, expecting him to break type in both ways on one player would be a surprise, even though I like Wilson.

I've also pointed out Guerrendo is an intriguing flier pick, but spending a 4 on a guy who has never been starter in college would also be a surprise.

Heck, they spent a 1st on LVN last year and he was never a starter in the traditional sense either. Definitely younger though so I'm sure their assessment of his, "potential" played a large part in that decision.

Bishop was hobbling at the Combine, after running a drill.. The announcers were afraid he injured his hamstring and was hoping it was only a cramp. Anyone know what happened to Bishop?

Zero mention in the media or on any of the Ute forums. My guess is, as the soccer people say, "just a niggle."
