Well, I finally got to finish the game...had to TiVo it...too much stuff going on today with the kids.

Agree with most posters.  I did not understand the officiating tonight, either.  Take names.

1.  not sure why Bo (or was it the bench?)  got the Technical

2.  agree with Bo on why a slug to the face wasn't looked at by the officials on the Dekker "loose-tooth" play before the half (similar to the kick in the face on the ND State player the other day).  the refs looked a long time at that one...

3.  I want to know what "impeding to the basket" means and if it's suppose to be called, then call it for both teams.  It seemed we were always getting  hand-checked and pushed to the side on drives.

4.  I think a game like this will take us to the Final Four.   We didn't panic and stayed cool at the end of the game.

A very entertaining game and Oregon gave Wisconsin everything they could and thankfully the Badgers pulled it out.

The Ducks are the type of team that can give UW some trouble because of their quickness and ability to get to the rim.   It's tough for guys like Gasser and Brust to defend those type of players, but Oregon settled for a lot of jumpers toward the end of the game.

Ironically, Jackson was the #1 reason they took charge and held off Oregon near the end.  Him making all the FTs was clutch and his ball handling was a plus to break the pressure.  The guy still scares the crap out of me with some of his decisions but I got to hand it to the guy he played very well.

It was a great game, but am I the only one disturbed by the end of game behavior by Oregon? Caliste had been getting Jordan touch fouls all night, and doesn't i. The closing minute, then shoves Jackson to the ground at the end... It sure seemed to me that Oregon lacked respect for Wisconsin. The coach trumping up how he was "thankful for the veteran crew" because he thought the crowd and Bo were trying to tilt the game with the calls? Huh??? The Ducks were getting all kinds of fouls the Badgers weren't getting- hell, it's half the reason they had a 12 point lead! Ben Brust had 4 fouls... Ben Brust in foul trouble? WTF?

It left a bad taste. The Badgers totally stepped up against a very game opponent, and grind out a win the few teams would have been able to- most teams lose to Oregon last night. But the we crap really sounds like they expected to get a win and a ton of help on top of it. The Badgers were the better team, and deserved a bit more respect than that.

F'EM BUCKY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(as I pluck more gray hairs)

I want more, this is the best Badger team I have seen, plucky, tough minded and good. They have been this far before why not more?

You never know what the refs are going to call but the bottom line is the Badgers won and that on its own will get them respect.   Oregon played with a lot of energy and emotion and toughness and credit to the Badgers for overcoming the bad calls and momentum swings to pull out a gritty win.  I was really impressed with their poise down the stretch because their backs were against the wall and they came through.

I really felt that given the year they've had a Sweet Sixteen or better was a must.  Losing to Oregon in Milwaukee would have really been a downer but they lived to fight another day and that's what the tourney is about.

I didn't know the Oregon coach said that...what a douchebag if true.

The Badgers earned the right to play in Milwaukee.  I didn't like it when Duke or NC got to play in their back yard either.  It stinks.  I agree.  But I didn't hear the Oregon coach bitch about that either.

If Oregon (or-e-GON) had a better season, then they would've played a similar "home" game in the Northwest (I think it was in Washington this year).   The NCAA rewards programs that have had consistent winning seasons.  I'm not saying I agree with it...but the NCAA has been doing that forever.  It's even worse for the women's tourney.

This year, UW earned the right and took advantage of it.   The crowd yesterday did energize the Badgers in the 2nd Half.  So suck it up and deal with it you Ducks.

Watched the game with a few of my old college buddies. Everyone was really into the game, even some of the wives who could give a #&% less about sports.  Was really fun to see the Badger comeback. The 3 by Kaminski was huge IMHO, but only because he missed his first 4-5 free throws. I was really upset with Jackson initially, but he seemed to settle down and actually pulled the guys together. I sure wish he had made all 4 FT at the end just to put the dagger in Oregon that way.
