I've decided to turn off the game I have here, Lions-Seahawks.
It's a meaningless matchup made even more unbearable because Gus Johnson and Aqib Talib have honed their booth conversations to an unimaginable level. It's like the filters are all off and something even remotely resembling proper grammar is gone.
But what if you miss Gus Johnson's vocal cords exploding on live TV?

If the Packers would clinch this week (unlikely and hubristic* to say it), there is a very good chance we could get Johnson/Talib to call the Love-Boyle bowl in Detroit next week where about every Packer player that has a hangnail will be rested.

Green Bay clinches a first round bye with a win and Cowboys loss. They own the tiebreakers over the Bucs, Cards, and Rams.

Pack held tiebreak over TB due to conference win % but that's subject to change. Best bet is not leave it to chance.

I know playing DB in the NFL is really tough but I don't know how many times I can watch one not turn to look for the ball when the guy they're covering does the same.
after today - I am really hoping joe burrow did not kill his knee again. that guy has got Moxy. i really am starting to like him...hate for his season to end again...esp after they are finally good.
Besides getting healthy, another good reason for the 1st round bye is slowing both of these defenses down playing outside in January.
Both teams just fly around.

Got to believe any extra game will take some toll. The lower seeds in conference are no pushovers. The bye might be what gets a team over that hump.
My dream scenario game:
Gus Johnson doing play-by-play, Aquib Talib on color analysis with Jerome Boger as head ref.
I'm in for the commercials.
I can imagine not a single ad for square dancing.
