Carolina is the only game that we shouldn’t win IMO. Every other team is struggling with something big, not as big as losing the franchise QB, so there will be a chance. We may not be favored in any game, but I think people are going to be surprised by Hundley. I think with preparation and working on receiver timing he’s going to be just fine. Not Aaron Rodgers, but better than game manager.

They will sort this out, coach up Hundley, circle the wagons and make a push to qualify for playoffs. The stretch with Flynn said a ton about the staff and the organization. There are guys still on the field that have been through this and know how to make plays. Hundley will take his lumps and make his mistakes, but he will end up making plays as well. When you stack him up against the 2013 Matt Flynn, are there any glaring disadvantages? Kid is gonna surprise a lot of people.

I'm here all the time thanks, just not as prolific as certain posters.

Some would rather hate the messenger than contemplate the message.

I have stated I see the team winning just 3 more games. If I am mistaken, you and Chilli can certainly let the board know about it.

Of course, I understand if you and he would rather not go on the record on this one.

wrong question to ask. its a week-to-week league. There will be another handful of injuries and upsets.

How do we beat the Saints is all I care about. So many other variables with any other questions. ITs about surviving, advancing and then evaluating from here on out.

scrap the playbook, tailor a new one that helps Hundley and somehow try to squeeze more from the other 52 players to get over the hump

Get King, House, Brooks, and the entire OL back. Get Biegel back.

Get a win by any means possible next week and get to the bye week tied for first.

Im so damned thankful the bye is coming up instead of behind them. Gives MM and the staff to reshuffle the offense around Hundley. Hundley was drafted based on what happened in 2013.

Anyone wants to waive the white flag, go full turtle and subscribe to Mel Kipers draft guide. Have at it. Just keep your quit internalized. No one actually cares you’ve given up.

I watched Hundleys post game press conference, he’s a sharp guy. His message was simple for the Vikings game: no excuses and we will be better going forward. I like him, he has that same quiet confidence that Rodgers has. He hit those difficult back shoulder throws today, that’s challenging. His accuracy is good, but he has to get some more air under some of those passes. He was trying to drill some in there with a low trajectory and they got batted down.

I agree this team can compete if they are reasonably healthy even without Rodgers.   Reasonably healthy to me means 4 out of 5 starters on Oline stay healthy and 5 out of top 6 DBs are healthy plus other position groups stay healthy.   But if they can't stabilize the injury situation a bit, it would be a tall order to go 5 and 5 the rest of the year.

The pass rush has been solid, IMO, but if they continue to be short handed at DB, they'll need to be even better. Rodgers probably misses a minimum of 8 games. I'm guessing next week will be a MASH unit loss. Detroit is trouble with a depleted lineup also. The Queens in Green Bay and Browns should still be wins, working up from there.

Grave digger exactly expressed my thoughts:  I suspect GB will need 9 wins to get a wildcard spot. Cleveland, Baltimore, Detroit (home) and Chicago make 8 so from the Saints, Steelers, Vikings, Lions, and Panther's we need one other!

Pack88

I am still hopeful Adams debuts in the next couple weeks. THe coaches were really high on this kid. Another pusher in the middle makes the outside guys more effective. And of course all the horses healthy in the secondary is a must. That bye week can’t come soon enough.

The Packers had a chance to almost run away with the NFC w Rodgers. If the D is up to the task, they could still win plenty. But are they? The guys in that locker room know what’s in front of them.

The season isn’t on Hundley’s shoulders- though his play will mean a lot. The season is on the defense. Today was a bad display of angles, technique, and tackling. They won’t win another game if they play like they did today.
