Connaughton can make threes though!

Bucks had the lead briefly! back down 1 now

Connaughton's Ok as your 2nd or 3rd guard off the bench. He's just miscast as the first guard off the bench.

It needs to be Portis and Torrey Craig. At least the Torrey Craig that played for the Nuggets last year

Forbes is a guy that looks good against crappy teams and then plays scared against good teams. He's soft.

Augustin might be just washed up. 33 year old guys under 6 foot often go quick when they lose a step or any explosiveness they may have.

Can just say this... wtf is Marv Albert doing calling games?

He and dipshit Webber didnโ€™t even get on the call of a game winning shot... TNT, get a fucking broadcast team, for fuckโ€™s sake.

Marv turns 80 this year. I'm willing to cut him some slack because he's been so good for so long and he's an NBA institution.

Chris Webber should have served some prison time for perjuring himself to a grad jury. The only reason he didn't is that Ed Martin died before Webber could go to trial (he was indicted).  On the basketball court, he's best known for calling a timeout Michigan didn't have in the national title game after waving Jalen Rose off and dribbling the ball into the corner to get trapped. I always wonder if he threw that game at the end.

I think the Bucks played a good game, proved theyโ€™re up to it, and know they let one get away. You gotta make the good looks- and they missed a lot of good looks.

Bud really needs to talk to this teamโ€™s starters about shot selection. 3rd quarter was all about shot selection- they took piss poor shots, and missed the good looks. In a 7 game series, you cannot give away possessions like that.

Then he needs to call a press conference and apologize for sending Pat Connaughton and Donte Divincenzo to check two of the best scorers in NBA history. You canโ€™t just give away possessions like that, either.

Agree. Initially the game flow had a frustrating feel to it ....Harden and Durant are having big nights, Joe Harris cannot miss, and DeAndre Jordan is doing a nice job on Giannis inside. Seemed like the Nets were rolling...meanwhile the Bucks are getting good play from the big 3, but missing too many open looks and the bench looks pretty weak right now. 19 minutes from DJA (2 pts) and 11 minutes from Forbes(4 pts). Some positives from Pat and DDV.

But yet the Bucks are right there at the end. They need better bench play(and Craig) or to play the starters more minutes. Bud staying with Forbes, Pat, Donte when Nash put Harden and Durant back in was terrible...probably the difference.

The thing that surprised me was Portis getting only 14 minutes. He has a reputation for being weak on defense, but wouldn't a 6"10" guy have a better chance against Durant than a 6'4" guy?

I like Connaughton and he has a role. It's just not as the top guard off the bench. Augustin and Forbes have to step up. Augustin has struggled all year. Forbes stats look good because he hits jumpers at a  high clip when they are up double digits against the weaker teams. He has not done that against the good teams.

The Bucks have played against 4 teams that are candidates to make it to the second round of the playoffs (Boston, Dallas, Utah, and Brooklyn - I don't count Miami at this point).  In those 4 games, Forbes is 5-20 from the floor and 2-12 from the 3 point line. In the other 10 games, he's 34 for 69 from the floor and 19 for 39 from 3.

Augustin has played in 3 of those 4 games against strong playoff teams and has gone 2 for 15 from the floor and 0 for 6 from 3. To be fair, he's been pretty bad against everyone

The Bucks either need for these guys to step up, for Torrey Craig to take over their minutes, or acquire a guy that can give you good defense and hit open 3s off the bench. What they really need is George Hill.
