The Packers tried but were blocked by the Ravens from hiring Hendrickson last offseason.

A former high school coach in Wisconsin and assistant coach at UW-La Crosse. Hendrickson joined the Ravens as a personnel assistant in 2005. He was promoted to Midwest regional scout in 2008 before another promotion to national scout in 2016.

According to the Baltimore Sun, Hendrickson’s focus with the Ravens as a regional scout was scouting offensive linemen, and he was central in the team’s decision to draft  Pro Bowl guard Kelechi Osemele.

Hendrickson has ties to the Packers, having completed a scouting internship with the team during training camp in 2004.

Long-time Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome, who blocked Hendrickson’s move last year, is retiring after the 2018 season. He’ll be replaced by assistant GM Eric DeCosta.

If he does nothing other then churn out quality OL, then that alone is worth the hire. The Packers needs the right side replaced plus depth. The timing of the hire couldn't be better.

For those who don't know or didn't realize, Ted is no longer living in or working in Green Bay at 1265 and hasn't for a long time. He's living back in I want to say one of the Carolina states. Probably watching Dr. Phil while he waits for his next round of jello.

If his contract expires after the Ravens season, they cant block this move in any manner. My guess is when Gute tried to interview him shortly after being named GM (which Ozzie blocked) that Milty did NOT sign a contract extension extending him under contract to the Ravens until after 2019. Just a hunch.

BD : Mike Solari....went to the Giants for a year and now back with SeaHags.

As for Hendrickson, I remember when Ozzie blocked the Pack hiring him. Looks like Gutey really wanted him. Man it would be great if he can build a solid O-line.

This seems like a very good addition. Have to like what Gute has initially.

This confused me as I couldn't find any details on JSO. Realized why when I saw 'a month away from announcing.' Question is, in a month will Gute have hired him or will Murphy take the credit?

Finally official. Milt Hendrickson has accepted a Senior Personnel Department position with the Packers. He’s already with Gute at the Senior Bowl in Mobile AL.

This is a great hire by Gute.

...And hiring Jeff outten as new te coach.  Looks like lefluer is serious about running the ball and tight ends will block.

From packerswire

The last two seasons, Outten has served as an offensive assistant under offensive line coach Chris Morgan, who helped bring him to Atlanta.

Almost all of Outten’s coaching experience has come with the offensive line. A three-year starter at center for Syracuse, Outten spent two years as a graduate assistant at the school, assisting with the offensive line. He was the assistant head coach, offensive coordinator and offensive line coach at Spring Westfield High School in Houston, Texas before re-joining Morgan with the Falcons.

Angelichio, who was hired by former Packers coach Mike McCarthy in 2014, served as the tight ends coach in both Tampa Bay and Cleveland before arriving in Green Bay. He struggled to get the most out of veteran free agent acquisitions such as Martellus Bennett, Jimmy Graham, Lance Kendricks and Marcedes Lewis in recent

Also. I mean like this is one of the last people named Milt right?  No one has named their son Milt in at least 40-50 years right? Like this dude and that guy from Initech.

Milton Indy Rodgers. 2034.

The last thing you recall when your instigated road rage results in a perfectly executed pin stop at high speed and a swingline from 30 yards incapacitates you flush on the temple.

Its always about the genes.
