How does everyone feel about seeing the Packers play the primetime game on Thanksgiving at home every year? If the NFL asked the team if they would want it, do you think they would accept the offer? And how do you feel about it? I would love to see the Packers play on this holiday every year.

No......no.......no, I hate Thanksgiving games.  I get too nervous to enjoy the day, and if they lose, I can't eat, and if they win, I can't eat either because I'm to excited.  I know it would be a night game, but just do not enjoy Thanksgiving games at all.

Start drinking early.  Helps with the relatives too.

I enjoy the Thanksgivings games but I don't like the short week.

Let’s see.

Another NFC North team plays every Thanksgiving and another NFC team does as well. Ain’t happening.

If we dealt in hypotheticals around here: If all the other x4 posters died, Fedya  would be the most popular member of this site.

Well, he would get exactly the same number of views to his fedya tivo thread every single week =0

I wouldn't want to break up anybody's tradition, but Thanksgiving would be a good day to have the Pro Bowl, some kind of exhibition game (PS players or retired players in a non-contact game, perhaps?), or maybe the Senior Bowl.
The idea is to offer some kind of football entertainment that doesn't require the typical scheduling and travel requirements of active teams.

That would be a big hell no from me.  I don't like the Packers playing on Thanksgiving because I am a nervous wreck about it and the Mother in law under no circumstances allows any football to be on in her house on Thanksgiving.   If you knew my mother in law it is understood that is not even up for discussion.

Boris, I wish I was making that up.  Oh trust me there is a lot of streaming going on behind the scenes.  She keeps threatening to take away phones as well.

Reason #16754 why I would rather not spend 12 hours at the inlaws on turkey day.

Oh man, that would make me absolutely despise a visit to the in laws.  How long are you “forced” to stay?  Can you come up with enough excuses to get in and out in like 2 1/2 hours so it doesn’t destroy what should be a great day of football watching?

Well this year might be a blessing in disguise for how long I am forced to stay.  The whole family is taking shifts being at the house so probably about four hours or so.  My brother in law and I usually come up with an excuse that we we need to go to the store and stretch our legs.  Which for two Wisconsin boys means watching football and drinking beers.

Since family gatherings are considered "super spreader" events, regarding Covid, I won't be attending any Thanksgiving festivities, out side of my home. My Son and I can get a Turkey and all the fixings and enjoy our time together, eating and watching football, at home, this Thanksgiving, for a change.
