McCarthy's pat calling with Flynn is atrocious. What's with all the 7 step drops and deep balls??? Where is Starks?? Why is every run play into Detroit's strength between the tackles)???
Can't get the quote to work, but at this point I'd take a long look at Matthews too. For as much as he's always hurt is he worth the money either?
Yep, I sure hope so.
3rd and 11, and we throw it 30 yards down field. Ya, that's going to work, Mike, since all the other times we've thrown it 25+ yards down field has worked so well.
Capers is a big problem, but McCarthy is also a big problem. He is incapable of making adjustments when they are needed.
This is just killing me. It feels like we're having to overcome injuries and poor coaching. That's before we even consider the opponent.
Come on, Packers! I'm trying to remain positive here, but we have been outgained 488 yards to 56, and are down 33 to 10 with a full quarter to go.
You don't. Rodgers is too valuable to play in what will be basically a pre-season game.
Are yu fkin kidding me with that play calling!
MM's play calling just plain sucks. So predictable and so vanilla.
He's scart!
The Lions are about to outgain us 10 to 1 on yardage. 514 to 56.
Has that ever happened in NFL history?
Capers gets alot of the blame on here and deservedly so, but MM is just as much to blame as well. His play calling sucks, he has had this team unprepared for the last 5 weeks, and he can't seem to make game time adjustments.
We'll survive DH13 - I think.
How many would they have hung on us if they hadn't turned it over 4 times?
How many would they have hung on us if they hadn't turned it over 4 times?
At least 50.
I think MM is a good coach, just not all that elite with calling plays.
I've been thinking same thing that was said earlier, Lions may win division but they are going nowhere. They have tallint but can't put it together, LOL
At least Forrest Gregg's teams were fun to watch. Lot's of people on this board won't want to hear it, but McCarthy has some questions to answer as to why this team has been so bad the last 5 weeks. I know...blasphemy.
Yep. It's clear he owes his a lot of his head coaching career to Rodgers and Favre. The on the field results speak for themselves without Rodgers in there. He's great, no doubt, but there shouldn't be this monumental drop off.
4 weeks ago there were dreams of Super Bowl. The way they've played without Rodgers I don't think they'd beat Houston or Jacksonville.

Correction. Fitty.
I believe they have 5 TOs.
This might be unfathomable as a Packer fan, but what about Lovie Smith? He's a very good defensive coach. His teams always go after the ball. They strip unlike any team I've seen before. Or, lure Bill Cowher out of retirement.
We need to do something, and I'm not so sure I want to wait until next season to make a move.
Q.U.I.T.
The bright side this thrashing is that the problems on this team have become so evident that they cannot be ignored. Hall of fame okay by Rodgers the last 3 years has covered up a lot of weaknesses on this team. A loss like this forces change. I don't know how you fix it, but hopefully this loss sparks change.
Total yardage:
Lions 563
Packers 56

I'd take Lovie Smith as a DC in a minute.

"We'll get it fixed". Yeah right.
I'm not ready to see MM or TT gone. Can we just agree the fan created deity that was Brett Favre was more than enough? And the attempts at transference were foolish. Posts like TT must have brilliantly put out the rumor Flynn had an elbow injury, when in truth Flynn plain sucked are one example. And GB had to go back to him because of the cluster**** they made of the backup QB situation after Flynn cashed in.
We aren't the deepest most talented team. We're not the best coached team. We lost the teams lynchpin and it all went to hell. There is a great foundation though.

So would I. I would even take him as a HC too.
Anyone know the record for yardage discrepancy in a game? Packers have to be close, I don't ever recall a team being outgained by 500 yards before.
Total yardage:
Lions 563
Packers 56
Has that ever happened before? My God!!! Simply Shamefull!

Rodgers is the franchise and the foundation.
Go Flynn!
Too late for a spark but why not give Tolzien some reps?
Go Flynn!
....and take Wallace and Tolzien with you.
If there's one thing the last 5 games have taught us, Aaron Rodgers should be voted league MVP for the rest of his career. This team is the Jacksonville Jaguars without him.
@Packerpedia: The last time the #Packers played with their season truly on the line they gave up 579 yards to the #49ers. 563 given up so far today.
Too late for a spark but why not give Tolzien some reps?
Because MM is too d*mn hardheaded.

You win.

Please stop offending my Jags-----they've won 2 out of 3.
Probably the worst lose in packer history. At least in my lifetime.
