They're doing that sort of thing these days.
@WolfPack posted:based on what? Id love to believe this but we were just taken to the last second of OT at home by one of the worst teams in the NFL who was forced to go to their 3rd string QB and without their best WR.
I guess any team has the potential. Happy we got the W but many concerns across the board today.
Sandwiched in between the Brady game and the London trip looked like a cream puff at home. Gotta bring it every week.
Based on potential for WR growth and improved run defense.
If 87 doesnβt fumble and holds on to that TD, this is a different game. If Watson can start to contribute in the pass game, we can improve even further.
If Walker can improve in run D as the season goes on and maybe Wyatt contributes, our D improves.
If the stars align, we have potential to play with anyone in the NFC.
Shouldβve posted this earlier, but Lazard came up big today. 6-116 and a lot of essential plays.
Positive - a tally in the win column
Negative - that haircut or whatever the hell is going on there

Ok, only the record matters. We are on pace for 13 wins. Quit your fucking bitching because anything else is candy and nuts.
+ a win.
+ we played the Patriots
- lots of work needed on defense. A surprise 3rd string WB should not be carving up our defense.
- offense still off rhythm. This needs to be corrected ASAP. Newman needs to go. Tired of saying this every week. Why donβt the coaches know this? Hello, he sucks.
Positive - Jarran Reed had excellent stats for an interior DL. 8 total tackles, 4 solo, and a sack.
Negative - Amos not returning because of a concussion.

Not bitching, Iβm happy with any win - a winβs a win and all those cliches, but for fuck sakes, we need to pick it up.

Youβre right. Nothing to be concerned with tonight. It was a perfect performance. God forbid someone be critical.
Some people can be awful fucking defensive about anything critical.

You donβt really believe Zappe βcarved upβ the Packersβ D, do you?? The Pats ran at will, but Zappe was 9 for 14 for 74 yards. Oh, I guess you can include the 25 yard TD that was snapped about 2-3 seconds after time expired when nobody covered Parker. Even with that play, he hardly carved up the D.
Rodgers needs to play like a MVP, HOF. etc and learn to play with the players they have.

I think you just answered your question
As has been mentioned a win in the NFL is that a win. I do however question the whole lateral at the end of the game, they do realize that the Pats could score on that just as well and itβs game over.
@Harry Manback posted:I think you just answered your question
Yeah, he was far from βcarving up the defenseβ. Even with the TD, his numbers were pedestrian, not even 100 yards passing.

So what youβre saying is, for a third string QB who didnβt expect to be playing this season, let alone tonight, 100 yards in his limited time plus a touchdown is acceptable against our vaunted 1st strong defense? Carved up is a figure of speech. Would you prefer bamboozled our defense? Either way, if you think itβs acceptable, youβre entitled to you opinion.

I totally agree, Iβll take it any day of the week. Thatβs not to say there are things that canβt improve. For fucks sakes, I didnβt think 100% buy in was required to post here. Far be it for anyone here to have an opinion on something critical, which everyone here has done, but if they donβt agree with your take, youβre rong. Next I expect to be called racist. FFS.
Well, are you?
Because belicheat played pussyball?

God forbid someone be optimistic. Thatβs how this pissing match started. I posted a if our rookies improve we could be tops in NFC opinion and you slapped your nuts and candy on it. So I parlayed back.

Thereβs room for both here. Iβm mostly optimistic, and Iβma true fan, but that doesnβt mean I donβt think things can improve. Pretty sure the coaches would say the same.

That was my whole point. I feel like we can improve and you went nuts and candy.
And not a soul in the room
Seems to have your need to share
Did you ever stop to wonder
Does anybody care?
Maybe the ladies are impressed
But I don't think so, let's be honest
Why don't you give that thing a rest
You're just a one-man pissin' contest

Well, I have the munchies, so youβll have to forgive me. I might have been hangry. Iβm not myself when Iβm hangry.

Word.
Also, the Bucs got their ass kicked tonight, thatβs a plus too
@packerboi posted:Way, way harder than it needed to be. But itβs a win.
Crosby has had a very nice start to the season.
Rodgers took his head out of his ass in the 2βd half
This run defense is woefully underperforming considering the talent they have.
Did his hair look that bad when he placed his head up his ass, or did it turn that way on the way out?
You would have thought GB lost from some comments on here. No, it wasn't pretty, but like MLF, not gonna apologize for the W.
My take on Doubs' catch/no catch is that he gathered in the ball, had complete control, gets in two steps while being tackled, controlled the ball all the way to the ground, he falls on his arm so the ball never touches the ground, and the ground caused the fumble. Should be a TD.

I'd also say that the snap, hold, and kick on Mason's winner was about as pretty as a snapper, holder, and kicker can do it. The snap rotated perfectly with the laces away from Mason when O'Donnell caught it, O'Donnell put it down easily, and Mason swung it through. Smooth. All of them were Money!
Give a lot of credit to MLF for acknowledging the challenge was an emotional mistake. Have to maintain control through contact with the ground to establish possession and I didn't think it was a particularly close call.
Lots of growing pains with Doubs but the talent is evident and something you just have to live with.
++ a win despite playing an undermanned Pats team

lots of things to βclean upβ

Nope, he has to maintain control through hitting the ground. The two steps were him going to the ground, not running upright, there is a difference. If running upright and defender knocked it out after two steps it is a TD .... but when going to the ground you have to maintain control. Pretty much everyone , MLF, AR , and TV rules analyst included, acknowledges this.
@GBFanForLife posted:Rodgers needs to play like a MVP, HOF. etc and learn to play with the players they have.
Amen. I was surprised how off he was on many of his short to intermediate throws. The deep throw to Doubs in the end zone that he lost after hitting the ground was a great throw though. Kind of sucks for Rodgers that 2 of his best throws this year were dropped, but he needs to be better on the shorter stuff than he has been so far this year.
It wasn't a fumble so the ground not causing it doesn't apply.
If you want to call that a catch then you gotta call Dez's a catch.
There will be more growing pains with Doubs and Watson but AR has to keep going back to them. Can't win January without them.
- bitching about the D. NE has a good OL and was running U Bacon most of the game. Coupled with the fact you have the Packers wanting Gary and Preston on the field most of the time leaves you vulnerable against the run.
- missed delay of game. The sole purpose of replay is GETTING THE CALL RIGHT!!! All scoring plays are reviewed so everything on said scoring play should be reviewable! 2nd week in a row opponnets got a td when they shouldn't.
Positives:
A win is a win in the NFL. One of the things I like about the NFL over college football is that style points just don't matter in the NFL you win and move on.
I like that MLF will stick to the run and won't abandon it.
You can see having #69 on the field makes a huge difference in the OL
Honestly how long has it been that we can watch a game and think that the defense can actually hold the other team down in big spots? I don't remember exactly what Romo said but something to the effect that this is the best defense he has seen in GB in a long time and I have to agree.
Negatives:
I hate seeing Amos go down
Jenkins had some plays where he got beat but that can be expected from time time until he gets back in shape.
Its a little concerning that the defense at times gets run on quite a bit but the pass defense definately makes up for it.
The failure of the referee to miss the play clock penalty should be a fire able offense. Complete and utter incompetence. If it happened in MLB heβd get promoted.
