With how terrible the ILBs are, there is a tremendous need for a fatty @ NT. The queen retread isn't worth a roster spot...just another guy. Hell, at least give Pennel a chance next week.

Pennel is worthy of a look.
...and you are all knowing because???? I would strongly bet he would have been more effective than Guion last night.
Also, what happened to Boyd? I saw him in the game early then he went MIA.
I was more than a little surprised to see Pennel on the inactive list as thin as the line is.
Who would you have inactive to make Pennel active?
Brad Jones inactive would work for me.
hahaha good one TD!!!!!
Brad Jones was VERY inactive last night.
Oh no, he was active. He singlehandedly kept two drives alive with third-down penalties and dropped an INT that could have swung the momentum decidedly in GB's favor.
He did plenty.
And the Super Bowl champs choose Kevin Williams as their Viking cast off while our team chooses Guion (or whatever his name is).

Guion is terrible. It bothers me that TT on down, they believe he can do it. The Vikings know he sucks. Why can't we. Is TT worse than Spielman?
I don't think Guion is gonna be the answer, but in his defense (I can't believe I just typed that), he didn't really have much of a preseason due to injury. And he was forced into a starters role due to Raji's injury. I don't think that was ever TT's plan, MM's plan, Dom's plan or even Guion's plan.
I don't think having a replacement for Guion, whether it be Raji, Pennel or anyone else, would've made that big of a difference in last night's game. The Packers never really got it going in any facet of the game. Maybe Guion improves a little in the next couple of weeks.
Yes, but this guy was bad with the Vikings. He isn't a nose yet two stupid teams have decided he is.
I think Guion was originally a veteran camp body/olive branch who suddenly has to actually play because there's no really viable choice. If Raji isn't hurt I think Guion is szelling used vacuum cleaners door-to-door and signing autographs at third-tier card shops and car washes.

I really do not know. it is difficult to have much of a dline rotation with only 4ish linemen.
Free agent DT Ryan Pickett worked out for the Texans on Tuesday.
Activate Pennell, promote Luther Robinson from the practice-squad (only 52 guys on Packers roster still -- right?).
Also activate the SACKMASTER. If Clay is going to miss time, they should get him out there. By the time Clay comes back, maybe the rookie will be acclimated enough to stick on the outside when they put Matthews at DE in the 4-3 package.
@AdamSchefter: Texans announced they signed former Packers NT Ryan Pickett, placed Louis Nix on IR.
Good for Big Grease. He still wants to play, can think of worse things than lining up next to JJ and in a D coordinated by Romeo Crennel.
shoot. was just saying to friends today that Pickette oughta already be here with how bad Guion sucks. oh well...
Yeah....didn't get that one either. Pickett could be dead & he'd be an upgrade over Guion
I didn't mind letting Pickett go or even not signing him when Raji got hurt, but keeping Guion on the roster and active makes no sense to me.

What???? Not talented enough to flip burgers or smart enough to sell insurance? For sure he could be the bouncer at Wal-Mart.
Damn first Rolle...and now Pickett....why does it feel like the seasons over
