Positive

Offense looked amazing, keeps rolling with my 71 year old dad filling in on the OL.

Aaron Rodgers and Adams are simply unreal. That last little 4 yard out for a 1st on 3rd and 3? Just absolute heart breaking soul crushing plays that make you want to throw your remote thru the TV when they happen to your team.

Dillon man.

Defense stepped up big time in 2nd half.

It's ALWAYS a great day to beat that franchise. Always.

Negative

What more needs to be said. Every single person associated with the Special Teams should have boulders tied around their necks and be hurled in to the Marianna Trench.

+ I’ve had the same amount of manhattan’s as hours of sleep.

+ tight end play

+RAAAAASSSSUUULLl

+ win is a win

+ Crosby split the uprights every time

- slow start

- obviously special teams

- another o-line starter out

Also, it’s completely my fault that the Packers had a rough 1st half.  Yesterday during the windstorm in MI, my Packers flag pole bent ( so did my wife’s Michigan flag)  I took them down and replaced the pole.  I meant to put them back up when the wind died down.  I was a bit spacey after my night shift and I forgot.  I remembered at halftime and put them up.  Sorry

+ Rasul, Lazard, Kenny Clark, Davante.

- After the bye week and β€œself scout,” it’s obvious that special teams still excels only at sucking. No matter how good the offense and defense are, this can blow the whole year.

- As much as I’ve enjoyed the season, every time I watch the Yuccaneers play, I feel like that team looks just about unstoppable. I hate to say it, but I’m not sure we could beat them in the playoffs. Especially given our special teams. I hope I’m WRONG! Or at the very least that the Packers make some serious changes to ST before the playoffs!

+10-3 at this point is good!

Adding to our recent domination in the series. There was quite a bit of history added tonight; some good, some bad, but the win is most satisfying.
ARod and Adams were their usual spectacular selves.
Deguara, Lizard, and MVS all had good games.
And what more can be said about Dillon and Jones?
Game ball for Kelly. He was prepared for his opportunity, and rose to the occasion.

Defense is still bringing it. There were a few breakdowns, but they got their turds in a herd in the 2nd half.
Gotta call out Douglas. Just amazing play, week after week. He probably has the most potential to make game-changing plays on the defense.
Ditto for Stokes. I think he deserves every bit the same praise that Micah Parsons is getting, as well as the same rookie DPOY consideration.

Crosby and the FG unit had a good game. No drama, funky snaps or holds, erratic kicks, or near-misses.
Bojo is still a weapon. He kept us in the game during the 1st half as much as anyone else. His net may have got blown up due to poor coverage, but it looks like he won't have any problems punting in cold weather.

Too many injuries tonight. Turner's may hurt the most, but still had too many guys get banged up.

----
i don't believe I've ever handed down 4 minuses before, but the ST performance tonight certainly deserves it. And I don't know what I can add that hasn't already been said. Lord knows we've seen some terrible ST plays from the Packers over many years, but I can't say I've ever seen a game as bad as tonight.
How can Drayton even look at his peers in the eye? Hell, how can he look players in the eye knowing he just pissed all their hard work and sacrifice away?
Even worse, how can the players respect him?

The team fired a Head Coach late in the season not long ago. For many reasons, including a particularly poor performance in a game. I sure don't think a glorified Assistant Coach deserves the same consideration.

Many obvious ++++++

Dillon is becoming my favorite Packer. Lazard seems back on track. Davante of course. Big Dog stepping up with Tonyan out. Except for giving up sacks the OL was very good.  Defense turned things around in the 2nd half.

----------

I have never seen worse form trying to catch a punt than Amari. What the hell?   Drayton should have been sent packing at the half.

One other thing, goofy Gipson should have been  looking at the score board instead of doing the belt move.

Punt return is at 2:31and check out Oren Burks (and he's supposed to be one of the better ST players).

There are failures at every level of ST, weekly.

This game should have been a laugher...but ST kept the Bears in it.

They won't fire Drayton during the season, but that fucker needs to go pronto...fucking Mennenga was god-awful...but he was still better than this clown.

Offense was really good.  The TDs to Adams and Jones were 2 of the best throws and catches this season.  Yes, we are spoiled.

Liked the play calling especially to start the 2nd half.  Packers took control by RTFB and the Bores had no answer.

89, 81, and 28 made a lot of plays and helped take pressure off of not having 18.

29 with another pick 6.  Just unreal how that guy was available.

Not sure what more can be said about special teams, but that 2nd quarter was the worst display of STs I’ve seen watching any level of football in my lifetime.   I hope like hell we don’t lose a playoff game due to that group but it’s clear to me at this point in the season we are screwed in that department.   They were the only reason this game was close at all.

I haven't watched a lot of Yucs games but the one's I have seen they look really freaking good. I just have a hard time thinking they can go to Florida and beating them down there.

Positives:

Beating the Bears is always a good thing

Divisional and NFC win.

Defense pulled it together and the offense got on track after a slow start

Negatives:

As usual more injuries

I don't even need to mention the special teams do I?  If I was MLF I would peal the paint off the walls in the special teams meetings this week.

Biggest plus: MLF. They came out awful and he brought the ship around and the team responded and took over the game; his playcalling after Turner went out changed to many more quick throws so the Bores had no time to get to AR; he used Jones in spots, although he's banged up; he recognizes how good Dillon is and uses him; the Bores had no idea where guys were coming from or going on offense. Just a heck of a coaching job -- again.

Plus-plus: Stenovich. He could take Betty White and reform her from a WR to an OL and still, she wouldn't give up a sack.

Minuses: STs are full of Betty Whites.

Brady goes back to pass...and has, what seems like, unlimited time to scan the field and find an open receiver. he actually looks relaxed back there...if Rodgers had that kind of time I wouldn't be worried at all about our chances.

+++++Rasul Douglas is a keeper!; Big Dog stepped up his receiving game; Deguara played well; Stokes played well; DAVANTE and Lazard shined for us; AJ Dillon; Aaron Jones; Defensive pressure on Fields in the second half; Mason Crosby was the lone bright spot on STs.Beating the Bears, again! 10-3!

-----STs unit.Injuries to ESB. Throwing time outs away. Sports announcers deifyng Brady, at every turn.

The resilience of this team is unique.  From the Arizona game to the Vikings to this game, even when things look awful, the team keeps responding.

I don't know what our depth on OL is at this point.  It's smoke and mirrors.  Bakh has to get back soon...  Hoping Turner's injury really is only MCL.  He has been a rock at RT.

And kind of related to the above, the offense looks so much better/different when going to the quick-passing game.  Short drops help the OL.  Rodgers was holding the ball so much in the first half.  RTFB.

If the Packers had Bakhtiari, E. Jenkins, Josh Myers, and Billy Turner all healthy it would look like that. How many teams can lose 80% of their OL, including two Pro Bowlers, and still score 38 points on anyone?

I get tired watching him do that.  I change the channel.

Last Jan the GB D played him about as well as a D can play him.  They were one of the few teams that got pressure on Brady and made him uncomfortable.  The result was 3 picks on 3 pretty bad throws.  I recall there being a few more that should have been picked too.  Our O just didn't capitalize enough, certainly effected by the loss of 69.

Brady has earned all the accolades he gets but he's not infallible and he does have a weakness.  Pressure.  If we see them again in the post season it will probably come down to our offense's success.  I think our D can limit them again to keep a win in reach but can MLF and the O solve their D?

Brady is obviously one of the top QBs in history, but he's had the luxury of being able to play on teams with great defenses almost every year. He's never been mobile and most of us could outrun him in a 40-yard dash. He makes great decisions in getting rid of the ball fast and throwing the ball away to avoid sacks when he needs to. But he can afford to throw the ball away a lot and let his team punt it away because he knows his teams aren't going to give up a lot of points to the opposition because of how good their defense have been. If you know you have to score 35 points to win, you have to take a lot more chances with the ball.

I think the best comparison to Brady is Brees. They are roughly the same age and neither one reminds you of Lamar Jackson or Kyler Murray back there. They made great decisions and read coverages well. If you put Brees into the Patriots system all those years, he wins just as much. But Brees often played on teams with lousy defenses, and had to take a lot more chances.

I think the Packers defense is better equipped to handle the Bucs if and when they play in the postseason.   I’ll feel even better about their chances if Z and Jaire return.

The playoff picture is starting to take shape but there’s a lot to be sorted out.  I think what’s important is ideally you do not want to be the 3 or 4 seed.  Today, their opponent would be the Rams and Niners v the Redskins or a bye (1 seed).

Kevin King only played 3 snaps in D.  No news of an injury.  Practiced this week.   I think he has finally been demoted to last DB.   Golf clap.

Funny you mention him.  I went on ESPNs Packer page and on his page it just says questionable.  No other information.  I am starting to think that he is out so much we don't bother checking and ESPN doesn't bother even updating anything.

Good Story on Preston Smith

https://www.si.com/nfl/packers...s-in-words-and-deeds

Note this: With one more sack, he’d be up eight and earn an additional $750,000 to increase the total to $1.25 million. With 10 sacks, he’d earn another $750,000 to bring the total to $2 million. With 12 sacks – Smith’s career-high figure in his debut season with Green Bay – he’d pocket another $1.2 million to push the total to $3.2 million. Finally, with a career-high 14 sacks, Smith would pocket another $1.2 million to max out at $4.4 million.

They fired McCarthy when they were 4-7-1 and had lost 3 in a row, last straw being the Cards.

They are 10-3 and fighting for the #1 seed. They aren't making a coaching change during this. He could probably run out of the field nekkid at halftime and take a dump on the G in the middle of the field and keep his job.

They cut bait with Pettine and Zook this year despite a very successful 2020 season. Drayton will face the same scrutiny. After the season.
