+ A win in KC is always a good thing.

- Smurfs running rampant during the game not so great. At least we only had tweedle dumb in there. Tweedle dumber stayed out of the game thread as far as I know.

+ Win at a venue we have not won in often
+ 12 giving the 🖕🏻to the morans who said he wasn’t elite.
+ Backup OL not embarrassing themselves
+ A coaching staff that makes effective adjustments at half

- ST blow...Mengina is Zook rebooted
- ILB play...sigh...
- 52 still major work in progress...hoping light comes on next year

Rodgers missed some big ones tonight, but he dropped a few dimes in the second half that allowed them to get control of the game again. There’s a reason Aaron Jones is the top receiver on the team- they must continue to exploit that and take the pressure off Rodgers.

Still, you can’t help but feel big concern for the way this defense is performing. I get it- tough task sending 4 to get pressure and playing a ton of zone, but it exposes the weakness of their LB position. There were times Martinez spun around 2 times while ball sailed over his head to a wide open receiver. He’s a total liability in coverage, and every week it’s the same story. He’s late reacting in both run and pass- not good enough for a team with championship aspirations.

But it is a win in a tough place to win. On to the Chargers...

+ My kids and their HS marching band won 1st place in a competition in Washington state. Oregon State Finals next Saturday!

- It rained like a Mofo and the stadium didn't have covered seating.

+ No Brantley Gilbert anywhere to be found on the broadcast

- NBC still thinking anyone gives a shit about a theme song with that horseshit Carrie Underwood

+ My edible kicked in for the 4th

- My edible didn't kick in until the late in the 3rd. But couldn't risk taking another one

+ 7-1

I actually didn't even realize he was at the game until I read this post.

+

The final drive and the clutch third down call.

Rodgers missed some big ones??

Plus

Rodgers made some big ones

Aaron Jones

Aaron and Aaron, the dynamic duo

Minus

Youthful Packers D hasn't yet learned to step on the throats of their opponents and then dig-in with their heels.

S/Ts has yet to make an impact on Kick or Punt returns.

The NFL officiating just stinks...all over.

Last week the Packers benefit on a TD on a questionable sideline call and tonight they get denied when the video shows in both games the video angles with the player's foot planted within 1/2 inch from the white stuff.  Tonight, don't they have to defer to the on-field call?

+ 3-0 --- that's right bitches....those of you rival fans...and you KNOW who you are, Packers are 3-0 on the road with wins vs. Chicago, Dallas & now K.C. no easy feat.

+ 7-1 --- 1/2 way home to the playoffs -- ain't no stopping em now.

+ WR's battling hard out there.

+++++ Aaron Freaking Jones -- he's every bit as good as Dalvin Cook

+++ MLF's clock management. What a refreshing change.

++++++++++++ The TD pass in the corner of the EZ to Jamal, how in the Blue Hell did he complete that?!?!?!?

- Special Teams (return game) drives me insane

- Defensive tackling....good lord whatta shitshow

I'm still a bit surprised that Reid punted 4th and 3 with 5 to go.  I mean he ended up as positive as he could have hoped, pinning GB on the 2. But I'm just kinda confused that he thought it wise to give the ball back to an offense led by AR that has scored on all 3 drives of the half...

The Pack wins in a venue where it's always been difficult.

12 has a novela of OMFG how? plays in his history, we saw another tonight.

7-1.   I never even dreamed of this at this point.   ABG is playing smart D with his pieces (even though too many don't realize it) and MLF is scheming to players and plays.  With 12 at the helm, this is devastating to other teams.

With 5 minutes left they murdered the clock from the 2.

Think about that.

+ My only one- this team knows how to rally. When they piss away a 14-0 lead, and they're seeming about to let things slip away, they find ways to get it done. AR got back on schedule in the second half. Guys stepped up and made plays when they needed. Someone different always rallying this team to get the W. A team victory. 7-1 is sweet.

You gotta hand it to LeFleur.  Without Adams they have little talent/experience at WR but LeFleur has adjusted the offense to take it into account and it's working really well.  Can't wait to see what happens when Adams is back.

I'm not worried about the defense quite yet.  Arrowhead is a tough place to play and even without Mahomes, they have Kelce, Watkins, and Hill.  And for all Andy Reid's issues, he's a damn good playcaller.

++  Last drive. Start at the 2 with 5 left and end the game with Victory formation.  Great call on the third down and great execution. It seems a very long time ago when Rodgers threw almost that same play (but to Graham) to the worms.

++ Aaron and Aaron. Dynamic duo.

+ OL tightened up in the second half. It looked like they were on the way to a double-digit sack night and then...

+ MLF. Doesn't get enough credit because of Rodgers, but like Jones said after the game, credit should go to MLF for finding KC's weaknesses and exploiting them. What a change!

-- This D has gone from shutdown to bending, bending, bending, and finally holding but it's nerve-racking. Almost too much bend tonight and if not for the fumble, it could have been a loss.

Last year after eight games we were 3-4-1. This year, 7-1. What a turnaround!

It is crazy how much talent KC has at TE/WR.  While Hill may not be the best WR in the NFL, he's the most explosive, Kelce is a top 3 or 4 TE, and the rest of those WRs have speed and athleticism that make it a really exceptional group.  If Mahomes and the other 4 starters that were missing can come back, they definitely can give the Patriots a run for the AFC.  For today, I am just happy the Pack was able to take advantage of the Chiefs being significantly shorthanded.

May not be a popular opinion, but I hope they don't give Martinez the Brad Jones/AJ Hawk treatment.

What do you mean YA -- that you hope they do NOT give Martinez a big second contract that he does not deserve like Ted gave to Jones & AJ?

Yes, that's what I mean. We overpaid Jones and Hawk. Paid for it on the field. I'd rather draft or FA an ILB that has fewer coverage issues. JMHO.

Hopped on a plane from Austin TX to SFO tonight right when this game KO'd.

Watching a quick bunch of highlights I saw the 67 yard TD to Jones without knowing anything about what happened prior to that. 24-24 with 8 left in the 4th and that play stood out for one reason.

I've totally railed that Linsley wasn't a long term answer at C. But If Linsley doesn't bust ass 12 yards downfield in front of Jones that play doesn't happen. He threw THE block almost 15 yards downfield that opened up a lane for Jones.

Kind of play you love to see from the OL. Beautiful football.

So. Huge ++++ to Linsley.

If GB get's fucked AGAIN in 2019 like 2014 over ST because that ginger headed fuck Murphy opted to lowball Rizzi and pushed for Mangina then Murphy needs his ass run out of town on a rail.

Because as of today. After week 8. GB special teams are a massive liability.
