I was at the game so the fine details that we enjoy on TV are lost obviously..

POS:

The biggest plus of the game was sitting directly in front of an elderly season ticket holder who informed me that he used to attend Packer games at City Stadium with his father and that his his most memorable games at Lambeau Field included attending the Ice Bowl and the 1965 Championship game against the Browns.  I mean... wow.

Arod getting it done with nothing at WR.

J. Williams... excellent performance.

O-line was stout, especially in pass-pro.

Lazard of course.

Lewis is getting it done at TE.

Smith brothers continue to get it done.

Red zone defense.

NEG:

Explosive plays.

Jimmy Graham sucks.  He could not even suit up and nobody would notice.

Shep ain't ready... at all.

Apparently the refs weren't for shit... we couldn't see that from the stands.

As others have mentioned, other than the 2 guys kicking the ball special teams is a serious liability on this team.  Detroit/Prater did a great job with their kickoffs- the ball was coming down between the 5 and the goal line.  I don't think we got the ball past the 25 once as their coverage was great.   If the Packers try that, Crosby ends up making a tackle around midfield.   Our best hope every KO is to have it go in the endzone and have the other team start at the 25.  They have GOT to get this part of the team upgraded.

Was at the game last night and the atmosphere was great.  A lot of blue in the stands, especially on the visitor side of the field but it still got loud.

One thing I liked - they play stuff on the video board depending on the situation.  Smith brothers on 3rd down pumping the crowd up, etc.  Near the end of the game a bunch of fans were getting loud when WE had the ball and were in the huddle.   A video appeared of Williams telling everyone to hush as the offense was at work.   Isn't that fandom 101 - STFU when we have the ball?!?!?

I totally agree on the need for speed at the WR position and I would think Gute knows this and he already has that on his to do list.

Maybe next year, take that money that's currently wasted on Jimmy Graham and look for a bonafide #2 wideout.  I don't think there's one on the roster right now.

They’d take a $3.67M hit on the cap, but it would be worth every penny if they signed a complimentary WR like say, Amari Cooper for example.

+ we won

+ 12,30, defense

+ withstood a very physical det team, they were hitting last night, goll-ee.

+ finally some of the calls went our way...

- thought we were going to get out-physicalled like philly, but we eeked it out.

- 10

would not have thought 5-1, but here we are...chop wood, iron vs iron, all that other bs, whatever works man.

Funny story from the game

Sat near some Loins fans and for the most part they interacted well and weren’t complete jackasses like other visiting fans (yes that’s you Minnesota fans).

That being said, one of them was wearing an authentic Jimmy Graham Seattle jersey and matching stocking hat and was acting like a tool the entire game.

In the last 10 years there is one team that has 11 comebacks from 13 or more down. You can make it 12 now. No other team is even close. Thanks Packers!

I'd prefer it if the Packers didn't fall behind by 13 in the first place.

Not as bad a call as many are saying and certainly not the "phantom call" that Mike Florio is claiming.

League says this one was called correctly and the other one wasn't a foul.

Garbage

Finally watched the first half last night.  Two things were apparent.

Minus the miscues we're either up or tied at the half.

The quality of WR has a significant impact on QB play, i.e. completions.  There were several balls in the first half that hit our receivers in the hands but were dropped.  In AR's best years his receivers almost always came up with the contested pass.  So as much as we can blame bad WR's for poor QB performance, we also have to credit them with good QB performance.  AR's MVP years coincided with our best WR corps by no coincidence.

We desperately need a good #2 WR.

+ Packers won despite a minus 3 turnover differential. They over came terrible plays, adversity and just bad luck. The kept it together, came back from down 13 points and won. That final drive was like the Ice bowl game winner. Took all the time off the clock and put up enough points to win the game.

- Packers had a minus 3 turnover differential.

In the victory over Detroit, the Packers allowed just one sack, giving them five straight games with two or fewer sacks allowed for
the first time in a single season since a 10-game streak in 2007. Green Bay has allowed six sacks in the last five games.

I think it’s time to seriously consider leaving Graham out of the mix. He had 2 critical drops for TDs and a one on one that was so bad it looked like he was 300 lbs running.

if the didn’t play him another down in 2019 I don’t know if anyone would notice...

It's disappointing that the receivers were so butter-fingered on Monday. Mostly, I saw guys who really didn't want to fight for the ball, who might have been a little wowed because it was MNF. Rodgers is up over a 100 rating if those guys hold on and the game wouldn't have been that close. Then Lazard comes in and makes critical catches. The kid also has an ego to match his position, and it came in handy because you could tell he really wanted the ball thrown his way. No wonder Rodgers wanted him on the field.

I wish that was real.

Of course that's what they said....create more controversy. They're as bad as any website trying to generate clicks.

MLF said six drops on Monday (including TD passes to Graham and Jones). Drops and turnovers are the only thing that kept it even close.

Like I said....another yawner...Pack by 24. 😉😆

Saw this pic through the thread and just picked up on 'Latter-Day Dude'!

If you go inside the church, you find a rug on the floor that really ties the room together.

just talked with my friend who's got my tickets this season, he was at the MNF game.  said there was a detroit guy 2 rows down from him who was mouthing off at everyone in the section "I'm Eastside.  Fuck the Packers" while thumping his jersey covered chest, even picking on other detroit fans for merely talking to the surrounding Packer fans.   after a bit of this my friend finally said "you know what, Eastside....  fuck you" and was joined by a lot of other people in the section telling Eastside to FO.

Eastside then either got sick of it and needed a break, or wanted more beer/restroom cuz he walked out.  When he returned he was sporting a big black eye!   Guess he musta spouted off to the wrong guy in the concourse.  They said he was quiet for the rest of the game and kept his head down.

eastside went looking for trouble and trouble was what he got.  some people's kids....
