Just about a perfect game from the first string offense
And Defense
Perry, Matthews, and Boyd with great hustle
Making Cam Newton look like the phony he is
-
Jones came on in the end to get a ST penalty
+ Just about everything
- Catsup on a brat.
+ Everything
- Drew Brees
+ Everything
- No 4th quarter comeback for Rodgers. Didn't even play the 4th quarter. Quitter.
- - - Refs. Again.
+Cam Newton throwing to everyone like they are wearing 12 inch lifts.
Offense
Defense
Special, bonus plus for wide receivers blocking down-field. Really impressive how well they block on both running and pass plays.
- ammo doesn't know what a brat looks like
Pos
no injuries
no59
both o and d were clicking
secondary and shout out to 21 (how bad did we need this guy?)
playing time for the second string guys (really guys like barrington pennelland the like)
win and Seattle loss
neg
refs
59 lukes ejection was not the right call
Oh and by no 59 I mean the only time we saw brad jones was on special teams
Tough to gauge a blowout game due to so much garbage time....

Arod is a beast
Oline played much better
Clay - Thanks for more production
Tackling
Peppers brings it every week
I love Dix. Wait.
Guion is playing very well.
-
Gotta learn how to cover TE's
Flynn sucks
****ing Saints!!!!!
2nd half of blowouts are boring.
+
Everything GB did on Offense, Defense, and ST
-
Triplette stinks
Saints chocking @ Detoilet
+ Barrington getting start over Jones
+ Lattimore being next in line.
+ MM getting a little creative with play calling
+ Dominated all phases.
Negs
- Saints crapping the bed.
- No word on why Barrington went out.
From Wilde:
In addition, the Packers unveiled a new dime alignment that didnβt have a single true defensive lineman on the field. Instead, defensive coordinator Dom Capers used five linebackers β Matthews, Peppers, Nick Perry, Mike Neal and A.J. Hawk β in various configurations, including with Matthews lining up inside as a stand-up inside rusher.
Sounds like what MM was talking about during OTAs and TC. Different body types, different packages. With the sort of secondary play GB is now getting you can be more exotic with your front seven.
The anti-Norvening.
"Negatives"
Found one: ketchup being called "catsup."
+ Richardson saw some playing time early.. Probably filling in for Hyde as was playing some CB. He had a couple nice plays in run support.
@RobDemovsky: Per @EliasSports: Rodgers joined Brady (2007) as only players in NFL history w/4 consecutive games of at least 3 TD passes/0 interceptions
+
Rodgers
Nelson
Lacy
Starks
Cobb
Adams
Defensive starters
-
Officiating was bad
They started with the mercy offense a little early, that second garbage TD should't have happened

Tyler Dunne's "Turning Point of the Game": the coin toss
@ByRyanWood: Randall Cobb first #Packers WR to catch 8 TDs in first 7 games since Billy Howton caught 9 in first 7 games in 1956. That's a long time ago.
Wow. Bests Max McGee, Boyd Dowler, James Lofton, Sterling Sharpe, Antonio Freeman, Donald Driver, among others. Helps to have 12 throwing, of course.
- Jeff Triplette and cew
For future reference:
@jasonjwilde: Mike McCarthy .... says the 5 LB dime package is called "NASCAR."
From the JSO on Cobb's Lambeau Leap today. How does AR12 get up in the top left of the stands so fast?

Good Things
Just about every aspect of offense this game
Lacy looks like he'd be slow, fat...Lacy is quick, powerful and punishing
Nelson
Cobb
Ha-Ha
Richardson
Defense is getting better and better
Bad Things
TT still hasn't extended Cobb...What are you waiting for Ted?
Flynn...yeesh!
Quarless was still in warmup mode when Rodgers got sacked
Rodgers missed Rogers at the endzone...too bad as his dad could have seen his son catch his first TD at Lambeau Field and his first Leap.

Fight the Norvening!!!
I'm looking forward to the maturation, enough to contend in the playoffs.
Negative
Datone Jones wasn't missed. Good thing the Wizard sticks with his ****ty starters until forced to play guys like Pennel and Robinson.

Huh, I thought his head would be larger.

I've been far from Datone's biggest fan, but that guy was coming around in the last two games he played. It kind of reminds me of Perry the last two seasons...things were starting to come together for him, and then he'd get hurt. Thankfully, Perry's staying healthy and ascending this season.
Hopefully Datone comes back and doesn't experience any setbacks in his development. Either way, it's great to see these other guys stepping up.
Positive -- win
Negative -- wins do not translate into awesome epic threads on x4.

Datone had a string of a few good games before he got injured against the Vikings. They're going to need him and Shields on deck to take down the Saints next week, it's in that damn dome, and they're playing for their season.
@brak
Lot of sadness amongst those who are happy being sad.
Or something like that.
Kevin Sumlin will coach up Dumtone next year.
That was an ass whipping.
Side-note, I love all things local, whether they are my local, your local, or somebody else's local.
I spent a good 5 years of my life close to the Kimberly/Appleton line. Not far from Frank's Wishing Well, on Buchanan off of Newberry.
I cannot believe there is a Papermaker in the NFL. That is beyond cool to me.
Datone is improving. The point is you have guys like Robinson and Pennel stepping in and absolutely kicking ass. So I wonder how the whole "Wizard has no talent" equation comes into play.
Ok, missed your point initially. I do agree with that.
Wizard's good enough to coach 'em up and overcome a lack of talent because TT completely sucks ass as a GM.
