I saw one replay where Cobb was waving for a fair catch but he was too deep to get up the ball before it hit the ground.

Nope, on a fair catch, free kick or not, the opposing team has to let you try to make the fair catch.

Rule 10, Section 2, Article 1 of the NFL Rules:

A Fair Catch is an unhindered catch of an airborne scrimmage kick that has crossed the line of scrimmage, or of an airborne free kick, by a player of the receiving team who has given a valid fair catch signal.

Section 1, Article 1, item 2:

A receiver who is moving toward a kicked ball that is in flight has the right of way. If opponents obstruct his path to the ball, or cause a passive player of either team to obstruct his path, it is interference

Disagree. Cobb & Nelson called for fair catch & both were impeded from making said fair catch. Hence, our argument.

Either way, doesn't matter....they didn't make the 2 point conversion. That was very close too.

It all evens out in the end. The better team won today without question.

Dip**** Suh is getting attention for obvious reasons, but other than that ****bag play did anyone even know he was in the game?

Linsley sodomized him for the most part.  That whole OL was dominant as well, but ho-lee crap is Linsley something.

MAN o MAN! Ding ding ding..... What a draft selection!

WOOOOOOOO!!!

Favorite play was the free play were Linsley just straight stopped Dline player from jumping the line.  Just wrapped him up to a dead stop.

Anybody else notice Ansah leading with his ****ing head again as well?  I know I did.

IMHO that's because he's a rookie and refs just don't expect a rookie no-name 5th rounder to dominate guys like that.  I don't think you'll see those BS calls go against him after his rep is established.  That could start to happen this postseason.

I'd be happy if Tretter could transition into a Kevin Barry type player for the playoff run.  The guy really can pull and get up the field.  Put Tretter in with the rest of this line and piss pound teams like Seattle.

I think MM realizes that they're not going to win a title relying solely on the passing game with just AR, Cobb and Jordy all the way through.  Lacy has been getting a ton more touches in recent weeks and the offense is starting to reinvent itself a bit.  It's taken some time and involved a few bumps with AR's injuries and such, but I like the ability to diversify on a macro level.

It's a lot easier to do that when your OL is good.  It's also easy to forget how ****ty the OL has been the past couple of years.  Jeff Saturday, Big Ern, Marshall freaking Newhouse et al... Oy.  It seemed like there was always at least one OL who was a pile of hot garbage out there at any given time, if not more.  It's a miracle they won as many as they did.

Tretter will be a Starks-like OL in that he'll be a very good backup who will not only get you through some plays, but make a few while he's in there.

We didn't get skull ****ed by Megatron today either.   This defense  - if for the love of God you limit talkaHawk and Jones is a championship defense.

Just need Julius to turn it back up and Datone Jones to realize he should be dominating ****ers

I fine Brad Jones for the head shot he gave Stafford. Not because I thought it was flagrant. Conversely, if you're gonna get flagged 15 yards for hitting the QB's helmet, don't be such a pu$$y about it. Man up Brad!!!!

It's literally playing with two wasted roster spots.  Your option is to plug in Bradford who offers nothing right now.  Only other thing I can think is implementing more Jayrone but you would need to get guys used to coverage.  Personally, I think Peppers would be a decent coverage LB for passing downs but then you're pulling pressure.  If Jayrone could bring some heat outside on passing downs I would shuffle Peppers.

That's the other thing, Perry is stupid strong.  I still think putting him on the line at certain times could be interesting.

Definitely. You can see MM crankin up the run game because he learned from 2010 how effective it became down the stretch. It also never hurts to protect a qb who's been dinged. I hope to see a healthy dose of both Lacy and Starks the rest of the way.

Also, as much props as the o-line gets for today, the wideouts did a great job blocking too. Pretty much a complete team effort from the O.

I felt like I wanted Connor the Cock as a backup after watching Flynn trying to have a picnic in that pass attempt.   Time to draft a QB for development.

He's a late bloomer but it's clicking for him right now.  Those fellars are getting in a groove.

"Letting" has nothing to do with it.  He physically can't throw a pass more than 5 feet.
