From that angle, it does look like his butt was down before the ball crosses the line. Hard to tell in real time and what they showed on tv, but if the replay guy had that still, I can see why it was overturned. And bless you, Clay!
That's a great shot of the play. Fox's telecast was a bit frustrating because they didn't focus much on the replay of this play - which was huge. It essentially ended the game.
Agree. That was a huge whiff on their part. Made things look a little shady to any non-GB fan.
The big screens at the stadium supposedly show what the ref is seeing under the hood, and they had some good replays that showed pretty clear that he was down short of the goal.
Good for them and the 80,000 GB fans there. Too bad they couldn't broadcast that to the other many millions watching from home.

Sometimes the flow of the game doesn't allow all the replays we would like to see or what the network want to show us. And now with more and more teams doing hurry up offenses it will only happen more often.
The flow of the game? It was a 2 pt conversion. Plenty of time to show a replay.
I wasn't commenting on that specific play, just plays in general. Plus add in more commercials and it all adds up to less replay time.
I guess Rodgers was just another bedwetter thinking the injury was more serious than it was.

When they got the two point conversion…I went into my kitchen and was having quite an excellent and lengthy baby fit---when I came back in and my wife told me they overturned it…I couldn't believe it..I still can't believe it….and I still hate instant replay----other than the 1989 season...
