Putting up 31 points against a decent Browns defense when you factor in no JJ, no Cobb, Finley drops out is impressive. Had those players been in all game, Packers likely put up 45 + points.

Boyyyykin. Can we say draft and develop?

Lacy. Keeps this up and we could have drafted the Rookie of the Year.

Penalties.

Yet another fu***** injury!

ST's were turrible. Ginger with a pretty poor game.

- Rodgers

- Boykin. Plug and play team keeps pluggin n the players keep playing. Nice game

- Lacyball Z. Dude has been huge this year. He's legit

- Secondary. DB's manhandled Gordon and kept Cameron in check all game

-

Finley going down like that. Always scary to see that. Hope for the best

ST. Holy crap that unit had a day to forget. Missed FG, Masthay with some bad punts, terrible ST coverage

Triplette. Guy is simply one of the worst officials of any sport

Positives:

Boykin had a couple dumb things early, but just like last week he finished the game strong. Have to love his mental toughness.

Lacy AND the blocking looked good against a very strong Browns DL. Between Taylor, Rubin, Sheard, and Mingo those guys are big, strong, and athletic. Lacy left some yards on the field (as every rookie does), but overall he looks great!

Lattimore and Hawk were strong again. Lattimore especially has looked like a stud 2 weeks in a row. He's fast, he's a strong tackler, and he just makes plays.

House having another strong outing.

Saw a couple good plays from Banjo. He's definitely one to watch as a developmental player. Seems like he has great football instincts.

Rodgers getting it done without his top guys against a pretty good secondary. I think this clearly answers the question of whether guys like Driver, Jennings, Nelson, and Jones made Rodgers look better or vice versa. Good receivers made better by a great QB.

Negatives:

Dumb penalties. Taking off a helmet, excessive tackles, etc. Can't make those mistakes against good teams.

Terrible refs. Bad spots and bad calls (on both teams).

Special Teams were downright awful, top to bottom. Bad punts, bad kicks, bad snaps, bad coverage.

was traveling during the first half so I only saw the 2nd, but from what i saw:

(+)

- Eddie Lacy needs a nickname. He's the real deal.

- MM, thought he did a great job mixing it up. Browns defense is no pushover.

- House, did a great job from what I saw.

- Many, many more things, probably add more once i watch the game on rewind.

(-)

- Special teams. Start replacing starters with special teams studs and then special teams starts to slack.

- Finley. Hope he's gonna be alright. Even if he doesn't come back this year, hope nothing is hurt too bad.

- Pass rush. Noticeably lacking without Perry and Matthews in there. Gotta find ways to generate a rush without those guys.

"Fast Eddie" (vs. Minnesota Fats.  The Hustler allusion.  Whadya think?)

"Man among Boykin"

Lattimore

My man, D.House

Another injury?  Ridiculous!   On the other hand, reminds one of 2010, doesn't it?

And that worked out, didn't it?

Game not on TV here, so I "watched"  the game on my iPad on GAMECAST.

In my mind the players for Cleveland were pictured as players from the

Lingerie Football League.  Made for some great fun.   Tackling would have

really been fun at times!   :-)

Lacy is the most patient back we have seen, just really plays off the blocks.  Did show one burst of speed on a run, but most time seems like he is hardly running and you look up and it is 4 yards.

Like the wheel route with Franklin out of the backfield.  Would have rather seen him than Kuhn getting the open field pass on 3rd down, and think he has more elusiveness on passes out of the backfield than the other backs.

I like "Eddie Money"....but I'm old.

Nice to see Beast Mode Finley again. That first TD was what we've been expecting out of him for several years now.  The injury didn't look good though.  I don't think it should have been a penalty though.  And I don't think Finley's head hitting the turf caused the injury.  I think he was out long before he landed.

STs was bad today, but fortunately, not as bad as Weeden.  Man, he sucks!

Biggest negative for me:  Game wasn't showed locally.  Fortunately, the inlaws have NFL Gameday and we have the password so we can sponge off of their account.

Unfortunately, that meant HDMIing from the computer to the big screen.  So the picture wasn't good and it froze up during just about every pass.  There's nothing quite like watching a ball frozen in mid-air for five seconds and wondering what was going to happen if/when it ever came down.

Guy leading with the crown.  It's about as automatic a call you get in the NFL.  If guys watched what they were hitting and keep thier eyes on the target, the crown of the helmet wouldn't be an issue.  Lots of guys diving into ball carriers that are almost on the ground.  If you would let them fall and not try to get that last second spearing n, you'd also see less injuries.

Unfortunately, it's not an automatic call....otherwise Meriweather would have been ejected in game two.

Wikipedia says Vince Lombardi was 89-29-4 during the regular season with the Packers, and 9-1 in the playoffs.

McCarthy will tie that in the first game next season, after he wins the last 10 regular season games this year, three playoff games, and the opening game on Thursday night in September 2014.

Many positives and a few negatives from today's game, and I'll start with one could be an either/or, and likely was the biggest factor in the game today: luck.

We were very lucky Weeden is so inept, because he had receivers open all game long. Even a mediocre QB could've made the outcome of this game very different.

With that said...

ARod. How many more accolades can we heap on him? And he deserves 'em all.

Lacy. Steddy (steady) poundage. How's that for a nickname?

Nelson. Had a good day against a very good DB.

Boykin. Boinked 'em! He came to play, and took advantage of his opportunities.

Finley.

DL. Another strong effort against the rush, and occupied blockers for the LBs.

LBs. Every one of them came to play, and each deserves their own accolades.

Lattimore. Have to single him out for a monster game. 9T/2A and 1 sack!

Burnett. He's really settled the defensive backfield.

ST. Yeah, it's been tough with all the turmoil of players coming and going, but how hard is it to stay in your lane?

Masthay. I'm assuming the plan of 'directional kicking' affected his performance, but when is the last time we've seen 2 bad punts in the same game?

Crosby. Won't be too hard on him, but how does he come up short on a 52 yard attempt? At least it was on-target, if nothing else.

Like many others, I'll also complain about the officiating. Ref #32 was killing us when he spotted the ball. It was interesting to note in the 2nd half, ref #101 was spotting the ball. Hmmmm....

The saddest thing is, even with the benefit of replay, they can't get the call right.

And the 'phantom' calls were over the top bad.
