++++ 11-3. Aaron Jones. Kumerow makes his presence known. Why not use him more? Lowry's INT.

---- Aaron Rodgers still holding onto the ball too long. Get rid of it! All the missed INT opportunities. Our DBs were close on several. We need to finish the job there. Nice ref call when NYC almost gets to call a holding penalty that the refs on the field didn't see. At least it wasn't the Rams-Cowboys game where they had a review of the coin toss and tried to deny Dallas receiving the ball on the 2nd half kick-off after the game opening coin toss where Prescott did not say the word "defer". This game of football is a joke.

Allowing 28 points allowed the last two weeks. I don’t care what happens between the goal lines, yardage stats don’t end up on the scoreboard. That’s a trend that needs to continue because 14 ppg is championship caliber.

Yes, that is a stat I can get behind.  Points scored and points allowed are all that matters.

Time to make Jimmy G a healthy inactive

MVS should also be healthy inactive

Wish Rodgers was reading this board to possibly motivate him to get his head out of his ass

The head is willing but the body isn't.

The problem is upstairs, not physical. He can still move in the pocket, better than most 36 year old QBs. He is missing throws, and taking sacks from blitzes he isn't recognizing.

Missing throws is physical. So are the other things.

Nah. He still has a rocket arm, and he will still be able to throw a great looking ball at 46. The arm is the last thing that goes for a QB, legs go long before the arm gives out.

A rocket arm is but one aspect of playing QB, there are other aspects that matter, and they are down most games and that is physical.

In fact, I never mentioned his arm per se.

+ Rodgers accuracy.  I thought it was good all game long.
+ Offensive line pass blocking.  Rodgers generally had a terrific pocket and when not, it seemed to me less often the line (such as the play Jones was bowled over).
+ Rushing defense.  Much, much better than usual.

- Rodgers mentally.  Some bad decisions.
- WR's - even Davante had 2 drops.  Allison with a drop.  MVS with a drop.
- DB's left too many INT's.
- Clutch gene score for offense.  A frigging F.  MichiganJoe showed the stat.  Forget the last drive (running out the clock).  Three previous drives something like 10 yards.  Aaron Jones got schooled pass blocking.  Adams with a miss (right in his hands).  Blown blocking scheme on play where Mack had a free pass toward Rodgers.  Holding call.  Just complete ineptitude throughout.

I despise poor clutch play and the offense did not have it pretty much the entire fourth quarter.

Haha Whiners

Didn't see that coming

The fumble recovery for the Falcons after the Niners laterals made it a 29-22 score. The over/under was 49.5. Wonder how much money changed hands on that freak play?

This team reminds me of the 2008 squad. Not dominant but competitive. If all the late losses from that year were turned around, they'd have finished 11-5.  Sometimes the luck is good, sometimes...

I still maintain AR does not have the instinctual response to the defense we are accustomed to seeing under McCarthy's offense  It may be that LeFleur's offense doesn't offer the same potential. It may be that AR is past the point of investing the kind of time he did when he had that gigantic chip on his shoulder. But I will not believe he's dropped to the ranks of average until he's shown the same inconsistency next year.

On with the rebuild.

“Kumerow makes his presence known. Why not use him more? “.  Ya think??  This might be a good idea.  How many times was he thrown at today???  ALL HE DOES IS CATCH BALLS.    The Packers really have to beat the queens next week for me to feel better going forward......the Packers play one or two good quarters, then they stink for two.  WTHECK.  Queens, and I just hate to say this, are looking pretty good.  *gag* *gag* *gag*

Fuckem forever

I have to say that the missive you wrote the other day about your hatred for the Bears was tremendous, and I certainly love when GB beats their sorry asses.  Still, I am in the crowd that hates the Queens even more, especially that f'n horn that blows incessantly, and the crowd noise in a f'n dome that seems to add 10 points to their boxscore every home game.  Only thing I love about them is the empty trophy case and the brutal, soul-crushing ways some of their epic seasons have ended.

Positives:  11-3. 4-0 in the division. SWEEP OF THE BEARS. Dodged a couple of injury bullets today with Blake and Tramon.

Negatives: The Lambeau Turf.  This new super duper turf is a swing and a miss. Players have been slipping for weeks with no precipitation before or during the game. Aaron Rodgers mentioned in the postgame presser that areas of the field were just like concrete today. Gotta tear that shit out and start over next year. Reminds me of the stuff that they put in one year that grew mold or something and got all slippery. The type of grass wasn't meant for the climate in GB.

Positives:  Even though it was choppy, the Pack played 3 quarters of occasionally very good football to get out to a 21-3 lead.  The special teams were actually good today with the exception of the Tramon Williams fumble the Pack caught a huge break on.

Negatives:  That 4th Quarter was just really bad football on the Pack's part in every way.  They found a way to let the Bears get back in the game when there's no way in Hades that should have happened.

Also, I hope we never see Tramon Williams ever field a punt again for the Packers' sake and for his own health.  Maybe that game plays out differently if the refs didn't completely gift that ball back to the Packers when it was clear as day that was a legit fumble and not deserving of a Bears penalty.

The most important defensive statistic :  The Packers have kept the other team from winning 80% of the time.

That turf cost Derrious Shepherd a roster spot. Greasy near the sideline hash marks up and down the field. We cannot get rid of that turf fast enough.

11-3 and some of their best players can play a lot better.

I guess I'd rather win games and know that Rodgers and the offense can play A LOT better than win games that everything has to go perfectly on offense to win.

They need a playmaker to step up in the secondary. Savage made a nice break on a ball in the red zone that he didn't catch. The Bears kick a FG and get within 7-3. If he catches that (which would have been a good, but not great, play) it's 14-0 Packers. Charles Woodson, LeRoy Butler, Nick Collins, or prime Tramon takes that to the house. They need Savage and Alexander to become that type of playmaker. They have the potential.

----Davante dropped three? passes? Too much sloppy play, all around. Our Defense had trouble getting to Trubiscuit all day long. Were they being held? What's the deal?  Our Offense is a conundrum of it's own. Rodgers has to take the blame for some of it. He is back to holding onto the ball, too long, when he cannot find anyone open downfield. I'll take the win but we will need to play a lot better from here on out or we will not go far in the playoffs, and by that, I mean one and done.

Heyyy.....would you look at that....The Niners are 11-3...the Seahawks are 11-3. The Saints play tomorrow night & are currently 10-3. Vikings breathing down everyone's necks at 10-4.

Oh yeah....the worst 11-3 team in the 💯 year history of the NFL is also in the mix.

Huh?

This was in the 3rd quarter.

For the game...

Good :

Kenny Clark was un-blockable at times.

Defense played strong, especially in the most important category - points against

Great play by T-Rex Lowry.

O-line did a nice job pass protecting . That’s a good Bears front.  Seemed the sacks and pressures were more a result of the QB being indecisive.

Aaron Jones is good at football. Like having that guy on my team.

Not so good:

MVS you gotta at catch that. Nightmare year for him.

Rodgers looked old and slow.  You cannot take those sacks and spaz the intentional grounding to take your team out of scoring position....multiple times. That was ugly QB play....and the head first dive on 3rd and long  initially called a fumble.  Why ??

Drops by GMO, MVS, Davante....adds to the WR narrative. CTFB

Very Good:

Fuck the Bears.  No soup for you !!

11-3 and things to improve on.

At least 3 more games !!

Pos

11-3, Packers punched ticket to playoffs with Lambs loss.

Swept da Bears and knocked them out of playoffs. After 200 games Pack closing in on 100 wins; 99-95-6 all time.

Finally got a fearless return man who knows how to do the job. Swervin' Ervin is great N/S runner and knows how to cut and when to fair catch. He will break one for us at some point.

Nag

AR still has Superman cape on, but after 1st qtr drops it must be hard for him not to lock on 17.

D needs to get some of those INTs.

Little things make big difference in the playoffs but not sure what else we can expect of Pack beyond more of the same.

Let it ride baby!
