Positives:

RTFB!

Remember all the talk a few weeks ago about the Packers not having a 100 yard rusher since 2010? Remember the talk about how the only way the Packers could win was on Aaron Rodgers' arm?

501 yards rushing in the last three games is just huge. Franklin and Starks both with 100 yard performances, and Lacy missing a 100 yard game by a hair, ending with 99. And 362 of those came the last two weeks against some pretty good defenses.

If we can get Starks healthy, what a luxury we will have. A three headed monster of Lacy, Starks and Franklin means we could always have a fresh back, and we will be able to wear other defensive front sevens down.

The offensive line only gave up one sack today, and again opened some nice holes for the running game (based on the highlights I saw).

Atlanta may have the best 1-2 punch at receiver, but nobody can match Nelson-Cobb-Jones for a starting three.

This offense is going to be simply lethal. And nobody is looking at Green Bay as being a real contender at 2-2. Good, flying under the radar is a good thing. Maybe now we can go on a nice run!

Negatives: injuries.

+++

1. A not-pretty, gutty win. Helps build confidence.

2. The D with Burnett is entirely different. Everyone is on the same page.

3. Lacy

4. The Oline. Detroit has a darn good Dline and for the most part our Oline played just as physical.

5. Neal. Another year at OLB and he could be awfully good.

---

1. Injuries. Will TT bring someone in to replace Francois? How long will Jones be out? He's been silently good and we'll miss him.

2. The offense not looking crisp. Rodgers just looks a bit uncomfortable. Unsure if he doesn't like the plays being called or what, but he doesn't look like himself.

Good win that we had to work for, which makes it an even better win!

I have to think the O sputtering and jumping the way it has been is just growing pains with the new running game.  MM isn't used to mixing in a steady dose of runs that get more than a yard.  I keep hearing that playcalling is an art form to an extent.  After several years of pass happy production, having to beat D's that are starting to take that away is going to take some time to adjust to.

While they are benefiting from a lot of 6 or 7 in the box, they didn't have success against those nunmbers last year.  Now they're actually taking advantage of it.

Lack of red zone production cost them in Cincy and it wasn't good again yesterday. Simply can't leave that many points on the field. I love the way Crosby is hitting the ball, but he's getting too many opportunities.

It was much easier for both MM and AR when the commitment to the running game was largely lip service and I agree with others that this is just an adjustment period for both of them. Once they obtain an offensive identity and figure it out the production will be there.

+Jordy is amazing on the sideline

I cannot recall another receiver having an entire season equal what he has already done this year with respect to tough sideline catches.  I know it must have happened, just don't recall.

I think he has become a special player.  He is fast, durable, built like granite, and has really good hands and footwork.

One negative that I noted was the ****ing lions DL and their leg whipping on Rodgers

Refs called it once, but I saw Fairley get away with it and also number 77 when GB was backed up near their own goalline

Those aren't  just random events; that asswipe Schwartz coaches them to try and trip/whip the QBs legs

Classic bush-league bs from the thugs in Detroit

Hated that call and glad to know who I can blame it on. You gotta know the Dlinemen are charging the backfield and have a good chance to end up in those sideways passing lanes. Perhaps this is why MM and Rodgers had that tiff against Cincy -- Rodgers may be changing plays that MM doesn't want him to?

I think once MM / #12 start trusting Lacy you will see more 3rd n short runs.   It doesn't help that when he did call a run last game, with Franklin, he got hit in the backfield and fumbled.

I wasn't happy with it, but I am willing to wait a bit before I start crying about it.   What I don't like is not even threatening the Defense with it.  You have a 235 pound 1rst rounder, at least make the D think he is getting the ball.   Yesterday we saw Cobb at HB on one and empty set another time..  That is a head scratcher.

The Packers coaching staff on Monday awarded five games balls to players for their performances in the 22-9 victory over the Lions at Lambeau Field.

On offense, guards T.J. Lang and Josh Sitton were awarded game balls for their blocking against Detroit DTs Ndamukong Suh and Nick Fairley.

On defense, outside linebackers Nick Perry and Mike Neal were the recipients. Perry had the first two-sack game of his career, while Neal added a sack and two other tackles behind the line of scrimmage.

On special teams, kicker Mason Crosby was awarded a game ball for his 5-for-5 effort on field goals. Crosby made kicks from 26, 52, 31, 42 and 45 yards, tying the franchise record for made field goals in a game.

Negatives: forgot to bring sun screen and got a sunburn, though I did bring my signature hat and that helped. The new construction puts much of the stands in shadows, but not me.

Positives: went to the game with my three son (just like Fred McMurray).

New food at Lambeau on display right near my seats. The Food Channel had Mac Attack - Mac and cheese with bacon, jalapenos and more, available on a potato or a brat. Even better, a sausage turducken - hot dog inside a brat wrapped in bacon, with kraut.

Oh, and we beat Detroit again. The Gold package always seems to get Detroit.
