Going in to the game, inactive:
20 CB Kevin King
31 CB Davon House
42 S Morgan Burnett
48 LB Joe Thomas
55 LB Ahmad Brooks

Then, during the game they lost Rodgers, Bakhtiari, Bulaga, Taylor, and Rollins.

That's a lot of talent.

I like what I saw from Hundley during the game. Also like what I heard from him after the game. Problem is, the OL is beat up bad. Up side, NOS defense is not good. Down side, GB's isn't either with all those starters out. Brees can still carve up teams.

If we can get 3 of those guys back from each side of the ball even if it’s not until after the bye I like the chances to still win the division.

Hard game to judge the running game (Jones and Monty) as it was a perfect storm today and kudos to the Vikings for taking advantage. That said I would love love to play those twerps with our preferred 22 starters all game.

They would like their 22 starters too

As an ex=pat cheesehead living in Patriot land let me quote Belicheck - just cheat.  No wait.  Just do your job.

1)  McCarthy can scheme an offense.  Let's see what he does with Hundley's strengths.

2)  Packers have done this before a few years ago.  Just get into the tournament and anything can happen.

3)  Saints and then a bye.  Get healthy.  Get even.   The Saints game is on the D.  Let's see the DOMinator earn his pay.

4)  Sign Kapernick.  Running option guy that plays the same as Hundley's strength.  Bring him in for a look.  If he is a mess then let him loose.

5)  This team is still light years ahead of most the Pack put together from 73 - 92 (forgive me Dave Roller and Lynn Dickey).

Biggest positive: Kenny Clark looks like a frickin stud out there. That play where he blew up the Tackle, fell down and crawled to make the TFL was outstanding.

Good news is the front seven is pretty healthy. Daniels, Clark, Lowry, Matthews, Perry, Martinez, etc....Jake Ryan might be healthy but him starting is not a positive. The backend of the defense is a mess, they started with a boatload of CB and safeties and they are dropping like flies. Gotta get King back. Even when healthy guys like Randall, Rollins, etc....are shakey.

I still think Campen is doing a heck of a job. Even with 60% of the starters knocked out today, Hundley was semi-functional against a very good defense.

Hundley is going to be given a chance. I think he's going to look a lot better with QB1 reps. He has a full complement of receivers, TE, and RB to work with. We are in better shape now than we were with Seneca Wallace and Tolzein.

Didn't the Bears break Rodgers' collarbone years ago leading to the game where we beat them in their house for the division? Or am I misremembering that?

I don't know if this is apples to apples.  From my understanding, the area of the fracture is also a huge factor.

Shay McClellan I believe. But that was Rodgers left(non-throwing side) clavicle , which allows greater odds to return. This is his right(throwing side) collarbone

It's not necessarily how "good" Kaepernick is, but more how Callahan is just not ready to take an NFL snap.  Not even close.  The guy was playing D3 at Wesley College in 2015 and if TT does nothing, he's one bad snap away from starting.  And did you see our OL? That bad snap might be coming next game.

On the other hand, maybe TT just says, "F**k it. If Hundley goes down, screw this season and play for 2018" in which case yeah, go with Callahan.

The Packer organization will never say β€œF it!” on a season. Can’t operate that way.

And honestly, if you look back on this season, #12 has been getting hammered every game. And as much as we marvel at the escapes, the extending of plays, perhaps it’s time for this team and that player to change. These kinds of injuries shorten careers- who wants that? Meanwhile Brady and Brees survive by getting rid of the ball. 2 times in 4 years a broken collarbone while scrambling. We’re getting to a stage where that may not be worth the risk. 2017 was just Jenga’ed by your most hated rival and is real close to being a lost season in week 6.

But of course for the next 10 games, we’ll get a good long look at β€œwhat if” cir. 2017. Last time 2-5-1. This time?

The defense will be front and center, but so will Hundley and the OL. Capers’ D will need to take center stage. And no more can the Packers afford offensive imbalance because of #12. You’re going to have to out-coach them by playing with a lesser QB and doing it the old fashioned way.

IF Adams comes on and is as good as is being said, the DL could be formidable. They’re pretty good now- add more and they’re flat out scary. That play by Clark was an elite play.

But of course that’s not enough. The OL must right itself, Get healthy, And be a strength. Right now, it’s no across the board. Last week i was hearing Jones was exactly what they need on an Aaron Rodgers lead team. Now we see if he’s what they need without him. And after today- not really enthusiastic about Monty at RB.

And if McCarthy has any sack that defense does tackling drills this week until they f*cking puke.
