2 things.  I hate it, but I agree with Aikman, the receivers seem to have no broken play awareness.  Adams route on the last play was ****, but aside from that, it is as if there is no plan for who comes back to the ball, who crosses, and who goes deep.

Second, Dom Capers sucks.

I agree about Adams. The pick vs. Minnesota that ended the game was supposed to have him coming back towards the QB. You could tell by the way Rodgers threw it. He waited on the ball and the CB undercut it for the pick. Sometimes I wish Rodgers would perform some Farve on Billy Schroder dramatics. He wanted too after that 4th down pass today.

+ AR did a great job with what he had

+ Allison, Davis

- MM. I thought the end of game management cost us time and the opportunity to get into FG range

- Nelson . couple drops and not getting the 1st down. gotta play tougher than that if this team is gonna make a playoff run

- Another conference loss. A Viking win tomorrow puts some separation between the teams going into the 2nd half of the season.

We have an offense again.  FINALLY, GB uses short passes like we non geniuses have been saying forever.

Freshly hatched football young 'uns:  Davis, Geronimo,  RipTide, etc.

ARod looked like ARod.

Passion on the sidelines.  No, that's NOT what I'm talking about!

Methinks if we can continue to play this way, we will be a tough playoff opponent. However, first we have to make the playoffs, and seeding and HFA will be important.

It's my birthday.

Another damned birthday!  I simply cannot afford all the candles!

Barclay.   We need to flush this guy.    He's not even good enough for Canadian football!  (No offense to Canadians.)

The losses in close games are always harder to take than the blowouts. Lots of encouraging plays/players in game that could've been ugly.

Biggest negative: Packers get lift and extend lead with FG at end of 1st half. Defer to get ball to start 2nd half and come out flat, no momentum and seemingly unable to pick up where they left off. This is the hallmark of MM era; sub-par 3rd quarters in in this game 0 points.

"Because he's Adams" ?

How about because he strung together about 10 terrible games in a row between last year and the start of this one?

Happy as heck he is looking better but I don't think you can really rip on people for pointing out what was real. It happened. No one made it up.

I thought they played pretty well considering their injury status.  McCarthy cost them the game though.  Could have called TO with 1:06 left when ATL got the 1st down on the 12.  Instead they score on the next play.  We get the ball back with :28 to play.  Woulda been better to get the ball back with 1 minute and 1 TO.  Epic screw up again by McCarthy.  Was pretty clear they were gonna score, even if they didnt.. you knee the ball a few times.  No reason to waste 35 seconds there.

What got McCarthy’s team there in the first place was going predominantly with four and five receivers, and leaving his tight ends on the bench. But on the Packers’ two possessions in the third quarter, McCarthy appeared bent on playing more conventional football, using conventional personnel and running the ball. Both drives ended with punts.

MM went away from what worked so well in the first half.

Toad!

As with all labours of love, GDT's, hourly/daily/weekly/monthly/whateverly posting or monitoring, require patience and some degree of effort. The first post in any GDT has morphed and evolved into a thing of Packer fan beauty, thanks to the template laid down by @titmfatied and so embossed by your work and that of others.

I, for one, appreciate all posters on the board, but have come to truly value those with insight, news, perspective... funny jokes... and HD vids and news aggregation!

Namely, efforts that take thought, time and diligent work. You, @Cavetoad, titm, @Blair Kiel, really too many to name at 2 in the morning... are standard-bearers this x4 dude really enjoys reading... --- as are most posters, when they take their chill pills.

Meanwhile. Eternal Game Face is smiling on you and the board, nodding his head and chuckling. He could get in the weeds with the best of them. But he could also step back and share his TC insights, tiny to large, with all. His efforts deserved, and received universal respect. So do yours and many others.

Hang in there brother. Do what you gotta do, if it means laying low for awhile to recharge the batteries, go for it. Someone else will step up and give it a whirl.

I'd hope people would take a step back and see the forest for the trees... You gotta believe, and there's a whole lotta season left. Plus it is less nerve-wracking !

I have said it before. This team and this season has that 2010 vibe about it. Struggles largely due to injury and integrating new, or relatively new, spare parts. What, the Pack lost 13 off the 53 to IR or something like that. Struggled to get in the playoffs. But you could see the adjusted plan(s) coming together...

Ted and Mike are going to just keep doing what they do... grinding and teaching. UDFAs and street free agents, practice squad promotions, usually quiet midseason pick-upsdue to injury.  This season, it looks as if  Mike and Aaron emerging from their mid-life footballing crises and there's once again some accurate throwing, play calling and formational improv back on the Lambeau video screens, both in practices, play-calling, and games. And Dom has shown he's still a mad genius if he's got the right parts to go plug and play with.

Folks. Take a deep breath. "Enjoy the journey"

Let's just get into the tournament with a revived Aaron and Jordy and other key components ready to kick ass and take names. Add a little good fortune along the way (aka "luck"). The rest will take care of itself.

"I like our chances"

Positives:

AR looked to be back and I think he did the best he could with who was on the field.  I thought that most of the time they looked pretty good

Even though Julio Jones was banged up the depleted secondary did a good job on him

Negatives:

The injuries.  How does one team almost every year have so many injuries?  could you imagine what this team could do if it could put the entire team on the field?

I cannot repeat the language that was spoken in my house on that last Falcons drive

Impressive game by Rodgers and even the defense.  I was really hard on Rodgers for his piss poor play early in the season.  I'm glad to give him credit when it is due.  He played a hell of a game.  I even saw him smiling at one point.  That is the Rodgers we all know.  Good to see him again.

I thought the defense held up too considering they didn't have their best pass rusher and top three CB's.  Atlanta puts up points on everyone they play.  This beat up Packers defense held their own.

Even though they lost I again have confidence in this team.  After the Cowboys game I didn't have any confidence in this team.  It is a good feeling.  They are decimated by injuries and they still played a hell of a game.  I'm excited again because they can only get better when they get some guys back.  Go Packers!

Jordy is a veteran WR making 10 million a year. He has to make that catch at the end. Adams made several tougher ones today.

Jordy has not had a good year by any stretch of the imagination but that was just a very bad pass. That would have been an amazing catch. For all the great throws AR had today, he still had a handful of those inaccurate ones that have plagued him lately.
