Wow,we saw a team with their regular quarterback who is pretty damn good lose a game to the Mash Packers.just goes to show no matter how terrible they may be playing there is always another team playing much worse.Lions get hammered 34-20 to keep the door wide open.

Positives:

Nelson, Lacy, Perry, Jolly, Quarless, Bostick

After today, I think the Pack will win the division.  Detroit is in full choke mode and Chicago is injured as badly as the Pack is.

Negatives:

Still a poor football team overall without Rodgers.

Said it before. I'll say it again. The Lions can't handle success.

Plus

PACKER WEATHER

Jarret Bush, baby!

Eddie "The Train" Lacy

Jolly stuffing the run

More screens called and roll-outs that actually worked

Nelson

Quarless

Defense actually played tough when it counted

Heads up by Bush  and House not to touch the ball while they were sliding into the EZ.

Beating the Chumps from ATL

Rodgers can come back now and feel good about it

Negs

Flynn made a dumb choice on the pass to Kuhn which was the INT and TD

MM calls a run to Lacy with 2 seconds left and gets a sprained ankle in return

Hyde took a fair catch(es) and shouldn't have

Lacy’s production: Running back Eddie Lacy set two Packers rookie records on Sunday. His seventh rushing touchdown of the season broke Samkon Gado’s rookie record set in 2005, and he surpassed John Brockington’s mark of most carries by a rookie. Brockington had 216 in 1971. Lacy returned from a second-quarter ankle injury to rush for 65 yards on 20 carries.

A win and there's still a chance.

Struggled to beat a poor team and need better offensive production with fewer mistakes. The long pass to Jordy was underthrown and it's an easy TD with a better ball.

Just hope they have plenty of Naval Jelly on hand.

Negatives - We'll be seeing on all the nfl highlights for sometime the following two plays:

1) the off the foot pick 6; and,

2) Two injured Packers running into each other.

Positive

But, hey we won by 1 point at home in Packer weather against one of the worst teams in the NFL.  I'll take that over a loss anytime!!!!  I's a happy camper.

Please AR be ready next week!

Hawk was livid after the Falcons’ failed screen toward the end of the game, and he had reason to be after a late dive at his knee by a Falcons’ offensive linemen. That’s the kind of cheap ass crap Raji talked about a few years ago that the Falcons’ line is (in)famous for.

Superdoubleplus-

MD Jennings getting off the field.  More than tired of his dreadful play.  Don't know if Richardson is all that good yet, but he's certainly better than Jennings.

Have to give Crosby a ton of credit in this one.  Tough conditions and played well.

Jolly has made more plays this year than Raji has in his last two combined.

Hyde seems like he benefits from bad field conditions.  Slows the other guys down a bit and he's like a mudder running back where he can still get his top speed.

Why wasn't someone in the endzone on that 50 yard FG by ATL?  Ball would have gone over their head on that kick, but if the kick was short there's an opportunity to make a big play.

Flynn had some bad moments of pocket presence.  Just didn't move well away from pressure.

This just in....Mike, it's a freakin football game.....

Positives-

Lacy.  Pretty easy call there.

Starks.  I was wrong about him.  Thought he wouldn't be with the team this year.  I really like what he does with the ball in his hand.  Didn't get much of a chance today, but he has become a guy I want back next year.

Q.  Productive, but he also made a couple tough catches.  He can be the #2 TE on my team.  Bostick makes a decent third option.

Bush.  MVP, MVP

CMIII.  Another easy one, he makes things happen.  Guy is aware and a killer (not really a killer PP, another metaphor.)

Wide Receivers.  Ted knows how to pick 'em.

Jolly.   Curious what he looks like after an off season of conditioning.  Guy is doughy (and unlike me, makes plays).

Neutral

Flynn.  Did what he needed to do.  It is a shame he's not longer got a deep throw in him (the only time he overthrows a receiver is when he is on his own 10 yard line and tosses it out of the endzone).

Mike.  Can't understand not using those time outs in the first half.  At least one of them.

Negatives.

Hawk, Jones, Lattimore.  Lattimore's best hit was on Jolly's ballsack.  Hawk made two plays (maybe we can hear about the great year he is having from the same announcers who said "Jordy Nelson wasn't an early round pick.").  Jones made one nice play, left a bunch on the field.  The middle of this field is wide open, either for passes or getting gashed on the run.  They are very, very lucky the one screen pass was dropped.  You could see Hawk was confused, couldn't find anyone to block him.

All in all, I'm not sure what team has quit.  Seemed like the Pack quit most of the game, then decided to let the Falcon's quit later.

Matty Ice.  Guy isn't a bad QB.  He might have had another comeback if his receivers could catch.

Can we please stop contributing to the Matty Ice meme?  Was anyone remotely worried about the 'great' Matt Ryan when ATL had the ball at the end of the game?  I was concerned that GB would completely bust a coverage, not about 'the great' Matt Ryan threading needle after needle.

He's one of the most overrated slightly above average QBs in the game today.  He had an INT to end it and a fumble - same as Flynn.  Is Flynn as good as Ryan?  Obviously not, but today the gap between them wasn't very big at all.

Positives -

Agreed with Tit - suddenly things looked better in the defensive backfield when that worthless stiff Jennings hit the pine.  Certainly not just because of that move, but the defense pitched a shutout in the second half and really only gave up one drive when you consider one of the two offensive TD drives was all of 13 yards.  Guess who missed the final tackle on the other TD?

Jordy is one of the best WRs in the league.  He's just so damn good.

Mike Neal makes a big play.

Quarless was big today.

Somehow, they're still alive with two basically crappy teams in front of them in the standings.

Negatives -

Jennings.  If McMillian was bad enough to get cut, how is this guy even within 100 miles of that facility?

Serendipity- Richardson replaces jennings and the birds don't score again.

+ Kicking game on the tundra- Masthay's last super punt and Crosby is deadly again.

Dang, Lacy reminds me of Earl Campbell.

+MM using the word "bull****" while talking to Larry after the game on live radio.

Bush starring on the last 2 defensive stands

Overcame a quirky  pick six

OL was OK on pass protection, but neither team could run on that field.

We will be better next week because we will be healthier

Nicely dun.  Patty Melt is only as good as the team carrying him.  Mobility/Pocket Awareness seemed less than I remembered.  It was cold so I will cut him some slack today.

Having 2 crappy teams in front of us means we are rather crappy w/o A-Rod.

Quarless seems to be playing with confidence.  We won a Lombardi with a rookie named Quarless a couple years ago.

I think Matt Ryan is a good to very good QB that is capable of winning a Superbowl with sufficient talent around him. He's nowhere near the level of Rodgers/Brady/Manning/Brees however. I think most people that follow the NFL know this. Hell, half the announcers that are hyping him up as elite probably know it too.
