Second straight game for Graham without a reception (believe that's a career first). Like most of what Gutey's done but Graham is a notable exception. He's compounded his mistake by hanging onto him.

I think you're underestimating Graham's value in the locker room.

It's not fantasy football.

Aaron Rodgers is going to win multiple games for this team on his arm alone when the defense can't get it done.

Wait & see....

I would also be a great locker room presence (yeah, fuck off, I know I would suck at that too), but that doesn't mean I should be on the team. We need more ballplayers not 10 million/year cheerleaders.

Better than Arod hitting the turf on several occasions.

I think people are reading the wrong thing with those worm burners.

What about the high one over Tonyans head?  Another misread?

On that one, there’s a video over at JSO of Tonyan slowing down on the route. It’s a  an isolated camera on the receiver so no question about it. Haven’t heard his explanation, but for some reason he just slows down before speeding back up. Looks like he thought the play went somewhere else.

If Rodgers said players need to step it up, there’s a reason right there.

Yup. That incompletion is on Tonyan, not Rodgers, and I'm one who thinks the TE needs more opportunities.

I thought we were going to be much more TE heavy with this offense....havent seen it yet.

are you insinuating there is a difference between trying to complete a pass and throwing it high and not trying to complete a pass by throwing it into the ground on a busted play?

I'm not familiar with this level of nuance in football.

Jesus fuc.q!  Are we really going to go down the same path AGAIN where the QB can do no wrong?  He overthrew a receiver and has missed a few throws each week, plain and simple... but, but, but... the TE stopped, the talent needs to be better, etc.. GTFO!!

Rodgers is being paid to be an elite football player.  He needs to be better.

Yes.  You will be burned at the stake as a heretic . . . right after you marry your cousin.

BTW, that pass was 100% on Tonyan.  He doesn't turn around and look back half way through the route, TD.  Not even a question about it.

No I agree Rodgers gets his share of the blame, I just thought Pikes was talking about the end zone play Tonyan stopped on, and I specified I was only talking about that one play.

I hate repeating myself but I will: The ENTIRE OFFENSE needs to get it together. That starts and ends with the quarterback.

Yeah he’s going to miss passes, there’s a reason >60% completion % is acceptable and >65% is elite. He’s sitting a hair under 62%, so he has room for improvement. His receivers have only been charged with 2 drops this year and he has 17 throw aways, so he’s had 17 charged “bad throws”. That’s too many, he has to clean that up, but overall he’s having a fine season. If he can cut the bad throws in half then things will take off.

Rodgers bad throws are A problem, WRs not getting open is A problem, TEs being nonexistent is A problem, schizo running game is A problem...nothing is THE problem, just things to clean up. It’s a lot of stuff indicative of a players adjusting to a new scheme and a coach still trying to feeling out what his roster is good at.

I'm of the opinion Rodgers made some bad throws, the receivers (after Adams) are not a remotely good as people seem to think they are, the worm burners were part of a decision making tree and not a sign of the apocalypse, plays the keep Rodgers from getting hit are a good plan, and Rodgers is still a damn talented QB.

I'm also going down the path where JK Scott can do no wrong.

When making the transition from Favre to Rodgers, what stood out to me was that Rodgers had similar highs as Favre, but he didn't show the same lows.  He was much more consistent, less variable.  While Rodgers might be a little less consistent today than he was, he is still capable of the same highs and his lows are nowhere near the lows of most quarterbacks in the league.  Rodgers isn't perfect, but I'm amazed at how many people have forgotten what an average quarterback actually looks like.

Seriously. This is my reason #1 when ppl tell me Bert was better than ARod. He's thrown LESS than 25% of the ints Favre did. It's astounding in its own right, but the level of confidence his teammates have in him is invaluable. One of the best parts of heading into any game since 08, 09 is the near rock solid bet that the starting qb isn't going to cost you the game. As great as it was to witness the resurgence in 1992, no one could argue during all those years that 4 could be counted on in such a pivotal aspect of a football game.

+ The stadium atmosphere was electric, loud and in playoff mode.  The player videos on the jumbo screens were impressive -- and provided fodder to get the crowd rolling!

+ Players were actively encouraging the crowd to get involved -- and they responded each time!

+ Defense is just rocking it, and their celebrations at both ends of the stadium were pure fun.  Love seeing that passion -- and would enjoy seeing the O picking up some of that passion too!

+ / - No "wave" (darn.  I missed that!)

- Too many Bronco fans -- too much Orange all over GB.  We must do something about that!

Other observations have already been stated (including an overall "-" on the Offense, but overall our family had a fabulous time at the game, and enjoyed meeting up with alums such as Butler, Gilbert Brown and Atman Green who seemed to be everywhere!
