#Packers are placing OL Adam Pankey on the practice squad, a source told The Athletic. He's a versatile guard/tackle the team hopes to develop.

#Packers are placing the two drafted rookies they released yesterday on their practice squad, per sources. They're looking for long-term development from DL James Looney (6th round) and OLB Kendall Donnerson (7th round).

Ahmad Thomas signed to Indy PS. Essentially taking the spot Morrison would likely have landed prior to the trade.
Thomas looked like a kid that had some skills and may have developed into some decent ILB depth.
Thanks for starting this, MI'Joe!
I've been looking forward to 1:00 EST, and you're on it like a hobo on a ham sammich!
Current PS:
DL James Looney
OLB Kendall Donnerson
OL Adam Pankey
DL Tyler Lancaster
LB Greer Martini
C Austin Davis
Interesting they're keeping at least 2 more big uglies for DL depth.
Pankey seems like a no-brainer and I think Donnerson played relatively well.
Martini may do well on the PS.
Vince Biegel going on the Saints' PS.
Saints sure seem to like ex Packers

Some more context on Ahmad Thomas' situation. He was in #Packers facility to sign to practice squad, but source says they turned him away. Thomas fortunate he was able to latch on with Colts. Highly unusual to be asked to come in on practice-squad Sunday only to be turned away.
So, to be clear, Ahmad Thomas was fully intent on staying with the #Packers. It was the team that turned him away, per source, after going through trouble of calling him into their facility. We'll see if that comes back to hurt them. Certainly doesn't help build relationships.
More to the story I think
Yeah, why couldn't it be the Packers found out he was going to sign with Indy after they "told him to come in"?
It smacks of his agent of working both sides of the fence.
You mean like anonymous sources claiming the Packers have interest in some big-name free agent or another to try to drive up the price?
The Packers have signed the following eight players to their practice squad, the team announced.
β Rob Demovsky (@RobDemovsky) September 2, 2018
RB Joel Bouagnon
C Austin Davis
OLB Kendall Donnerson
FB Joe Kerridge
DL Tyler Lancaster
DL James Looney
LB Greer Martini
G/T Adam Pankey.
They have 2 spots still open

Nah, couldn't be......
IND traded Freeman away because he (slow) no longer fit what they wanted to do in D (fast). Thomas was the latter.

Jesus. They go from the kind, old senile guy passing out candy to GlenGutey Glen Ross? Find a happy medium fer **** sakes.
Kyler Fackerell is the living embodiment of steak knives.
The Fackrell and Biegel picks at OLB were awful. Please donβt let T.J. Watt have a good year.
Season's over dum dum....I guess all you have left is the Bucks, eh?
My God I'm glad you weren't leading the US Navy on December 8th 1941.
You'd have been on a battleship handing over California to the Japs.
Great analogy. So appropriate as well. Why am I not surprised.
They were bad picks. Or do you live in some alternate reality where those guys panned out?
I was a big TT guy but maybe they waited a couple of years too long to make a move.
I bet people gravitate to your negativity.

If there weren't so many big words this has the makings of a country song.
And the Grammy goes to BK.

When they start out 10-10 he'll jump off that bandwagon too.

FWIW. TJ Watt didnβt play a preseason snap and sat on the sideline for a full month in camp trying to recover from a nasty hammy injury. Steelers are a little concerned about his history with injuries.
Vince Biegel was the poster child for being hurt going back to days at UW. So far the book on Kevin King has been spot on. Very talented but nagging shoulder issues. I hope the kid can get over because heβs got top end ability and seems like a good dude.
In the end it may not matter as Josh Jackson and Jaire Alexander have looked pretty good but another decent pass rush guy couldnβt hurt. Watt showed a lot last year but like King he has to stay on the field.
GlenGutey Glen Ross. Damn.
Always Be Scouting.

Player's athleticism dramatically increases throughout his college career & then he develops reoccurring muscle strains .....sound familiar?

And trains and mother.
Marwin Evans signed to the PS.
CB Tony Brown signed to the PS. No idea who he is.

Donatello's brother?
Nickel back from Alabama cut by the Chargers who apparently ran a 4.35.
Tony Brown is fast. https://247sports.com/nfl/san-...er-report-115972397/
and six foot tall. https://www.nfl.com/prospects/...01-3827-e3c3900c01f5
I can see him as STs standout.
Thought Nickleback was in the CFL.
Biegel not on the PS roster? Good move.
