Well McCarthy and his staff have been selected to coach one of the teams.

Now that the "PI play" and "Hail Mary" are out of the bag, wonder if McStupidlazyface will come up with any unscouted looks?
Prolly test some 2 pt plays....
Cue the "I knew he was injured crowd"
@ByRyanWood: #Packers QB Aaron Rodgers will not play in the Pro Bowl because of injury, per Raiders. He's replaced by Derek Carr.
It's that Pro Bowl flu thing again
Replaced by Derek Carr, better head to the store and stock up. The world must be ending.
1st play of the game will be a run for 0 yards
Gonna see jet sweeps, WR rubs, 2 point conversions, etc....offensive wizardry.

Yoko no likey Honolulu ...so Wisconsin Dell's-ish ...that's where LA white trash goes for a long weekend.
What is this Pro Bowl you speak of?
Nothing sums up the Pro Bowl better than this trip down subliminal lane.
MM will not attend Pro Bowl either. Says he's ill. Btw 47! players have dumped the PB this year. Thus the reason a teddy b made it. That's a record amount. #joke
From packers.com:
Head Coach Mike McCarthy will not attend this weekβs Pro Bowl in Hawaii because of a stomach illness. Doctors have advised him not to travel at this time. Associate Head Coach/Linebackers Winston Moss will handle his head-coaching responsibilities at the Pro Bowl for the remainder of the week.
Just became must watch for Henry.
Amazing what explosive diarrhea can get you out of .....
The best play will be the one where you try to get the other team to jump offsides and throw a long pass completion on a "free play"
Apparently, McCarthy was fine but then TT laid out the off-season plans which made Mike sick.
We will get to see how far the 'no separation passing game'/'no hole running game' gets this team. Maybe AR really had a MVP season, but no one understood that.

its more amazing of what it can get out of you
Will the Dom Capers defense hold them to 20 points?
Jerry Rice drafted all the Packers.
Moss would go for 2!
Seriously, who watches the dreck that is the PB? You'd think Goodell would get a clue when 47 players and millions of viewers opt out. Put the PB out of its -- and our! -- misery.

If only TT had the foresight to sign MM's diarrhea to the roster as a wide receiver, huh?

Andrew Brandt made a great observation this afternoon. The players' union strongly supports the Pro Bowl and wants it to be continued. Contract bonus fodder, free trip, publicity, post-career laurel of sorts for the selectees.
Great negotiating fodder for the league v. the NFLPA.
So if they are going to continue the prob owl at least go back to AFC vs. NFC. Why would Clay Mathews want to get after AR12? Or any other teams mates where one is on offense and one on defense. Get rid of this stupid draft so the game becomes somewhat competitive again. Of course the higher up NFL morans think the draft by 1 blowhard and one pretty good guy is what the fans want, but it ain't what this fan wants.
it's an idea that's run its course. put a fork in it. nobody cares... at all... 'cept maybe Hawaii. nobody wants to risk injury for a game that means nothing, making it an empty excuse for football.
Tdog posted:hell, it just became watchable for me knowing I'll finally see this Asst Head Coach Moss in action, or is it inaction? anyway, if we loosely apply the superb owl naming convention in this instance we get "prob owl", which is short for probability owl and that works for me.
I prefer adding a letter for an even better meaning: Probe Owl.
Say hello to our fine, feathered proctologist.
I went with "probability" because of the low probability of seeing the actual players selected, and the near impossible probability of seeing a good football game. TGIF! Partying in Spooner this weekend - lookout anyone who lives there.
All two dozen, Tdog?
the less, the merrier I always say. especially when it comes to ice fishing.
I say get rid of the game and replace it with a skills challenge, kind of like the NBA has with dunk, 3 point and the obstacle course. Longest throw, fastest WR, strongest lineman, etc. Damn, even have an eating challenge for the big guys. Just turn it into a bunch of games. You might even get guys like AR to show up if they get a chance to drop a football into a basket from 50 yards away.
Lacy is big on the eating challenge.
Lacy is big, period.
I would rather watch a rerun of the 4th preseason game. Fk the pro bowl.
Bring back Battle of the Network T & A.

Yeah, they want all the benefit without any injury risk, so the fans get a crappy game because the players half-ass it.
The league has the money to remove the risk/reward factor, and protect both the player and his team in the case of injury. Without that, or similar, it might as well be turned into a skills competition as CUPF noted.
Even a skills competition could have some issues. Robert Edwards is the poster child for this. He blew out his knee playing flag football at a Pro Bowl rookie game and his career was basically over.
Guys blow out their knees all the time on non-contact plays (think Jordy Nelson). I don't know what the solution is, but it isn't to have guys go out there and play not to get hurt.
From Wikipedia;
Edwards was chosen by the New England Patriots in the first round of the 1998 NFL Draft. He rushed for 1,115 yards for the Patriots in the 1998 National Football League season, before blowing out his knee at an NFL rookie flag football game in Hawaii during Pro Bowl week. Edwards barely escaped the injury without having his leg amputated below the knee, and he was told he might not walk again.[1]
Edwards would not play football again until 2002, when he made his return with the Miami Dolphins. In his first game back, against the Detroit Lions, Edwards caught a touchdown pass and ran for another score. He spent the rest of the season sharing third-down back duties with fellow running back Travis Minor. After the season, he lost his spot on the roster to Leonard Henry.
I remember Edwards. Guy would probably have had a pretty good career. If guys are worried about injury, you'd think the NFLPA would want to can any physical activity and just go with a money/trip reward.
