From GBPG:

Maybe Nick Perry’s foot wasn’t broken, after all. At least, significantly.

The Green Bay Packers second-year outside linebacker returned to practice in limited fashion during Friday’s final run-through before Sunday’s game in Minnesota. He even took a couple team reps, indicating he might be able to play against the Vikings.

According to two separate reports, Perry broke his foot on a sack near the end of the first half in a 19-17 win over Baltimore two weeks ago.

Packers coach Mike McCarthy is scheduled to speak at approximately 12:30 p.m. with a further update on his status for Sunday.

The Packers were without wide receiver James Jones (knee), outside linebacker Clay Matthews (thumb), tight end Ryan Taylor (knee) and tight end Jermichael Finley (neck). Safety Jerron McMillian was also absent.

Inside linebacker Brad Jones (hamstring) and cornerback Casey Hayward (hamstring) were both limited participants. Running back James Starks (knee) didn’t seem to be inhibited by any measure.

bush probable; Finley out: Hayward probable; Brad Jones questionable; James Jones doubtful; Matthews out; McMilliam probable; Perry quest

McCarthy: Nick Perry looked good in limited role. Hopefully we'll get him ready for Sunday night.

MM: following rehab schedule on Perry. He's doing everything he can for Sunday.

MM: Finley looks good, looked like movie star with sunglasses and big smile on face. Great to have him back in building.

MM: Tests and additional tests on Finley will be sent to specialists

MM: We do need a spark on picking off passes. We need to get some interceptions.

MM: Our football team is in a good place mentally after Finley's injury. Seeing him walk in today is what everybody needed to see.

MM: Jarrett Bush has been one of special teams captains. His return will help.

MM: Vikings playing well on special teams. This is big challenge this week.

MM: I was very concerned immediately after Finley's injury. Was glad to see him after game. Now out of hospital, he can get back to normal.

MM: History of this game, prime time football, turnover ratio good thing to hang your hat on.

MM: McMIillian left today for personal reasons. It's a good thing

This was for mental health of the team and Finley. The guys needed to see that he was allright and could walk around and be his usual personality. Many/most/all were very worried about his condition and it likely was playing on their minds a bit. And, Finley cant just sit home on the couch, he needed to be with his teammates for moral support.

He's not playing again, if ever, until the docs give him 100 percent clearance, which probably wont be for quite some time. This is a morale booster for all involved. Finley's probably telling the team to go kick some viking ass on Sunday and they better come home with a win.

I'm looking forward to seeing if they give Bostick some looks. They obviously wouldn't keep him on the roster unless they thought he could be a contributor. With Finley and Taylor out this could be his chance.

We'll also be seeing if they give Myles White some looks as well. He only had 1 catch vs. the Browns but he played a lot of snaps.

Finley & Cobb made up the vast majority of the Packers production out of the slot. One of those guys is going to have to step up.

Good news about Perry.  That cloak and dagger sneaky MM strikes again.  Busted foot?  Nah, couple of weeks.

Interested to see how Hayward fits into the mix.   House and Hyde have been playing pretty well.   Hayward fits more of the nickel DB slot role and maybe that means Hyde will be pushed back into more of a special team role.   Or one of those guys to replace McMillan in the dime coverage.
