At 6'4" and 315 lbs, his whole body could appear swollen.

Wouldn't it be great if Guion takes the starting spot vacated by the Raji injury? Being an ex-Vike and all...

Tough luck for BJ.  I didn't expect him to be all-pro, but thought he would be more consistent and closer to the 2010 BJ than the 2013 BJ.

I wonder what this does for his career?  He was on a 1 year deal, now he has no deal, do the Packers bring him back on another cheap, prove-it deal, or is he gone?

I'd say that all depends on Pennel, Thornton and Boyd.

Here comes the cavalry

Hello, Letroy Guion. Blows up the O-Line in half line (the back-ups) to take down Perkins for a 5-yard loss. The guy is fresh.

Another good rush by Guion. Had to be frustrating for him to watch this drill all summer.

Why would the team sign a 2,000-year-old Jewish guy?

I guess there is the whole super-hero level powers thing he has going for him.  Which is nice.  For a NT.

If Guion pushes Boyd and Pennel then he's done his job and GB can sit his his ass at the end of the bench and let him think about his failure to follow up on every opportunity he's been given to grab a starting role and never let go.

FTFY.

Technically he was not released, just not resigned when his contract came up.  He also visited new England before signing with the Packers.  Exactly like the Packers did with Pickett.

Thanks for the fix-up!

I think the Queens could be a sleeper this year. They still have AP, Patterson looks like he's coming into his own, Barr will be a player some day (not this year) and Cassel is proving to be a good game manager in Norv's offense. I'm not that impressed with Bridgewater, who I think will be a serviceable starter, but Zimmer is now overseeing the defense, and he's always had strong defenses. Overall, Zimmer doesn't have a whole lot to work with, but I think they will be a better team this year.

Guion will be a fine replacement for Raji. Sucks that the big man went down, but is anyone that surprised the Packers lost a key starter? NEXT MAN UP. Mike Pennel will also have more opportunities to step up his game and develop into a key contributor. There was no guarantee Raji was going to bounce back to his old ways, anyway. So I just look at this as more free cap space going into next off-season since he likely won't be re-signed now.

Guion was released by the Vikings.

Nah.  They'll make him run Golgotha Hill a few dozen times.
