Sounds like he's pissed about his role, if this report is true.

Raji clearly isn’t nearly as involved as he used to be in Green Bay. In fact, as of Week 16 the nose tackle had been seeing right around 50% of the defensive and finally voiced his frustrations just a tad when he said:

β€œI don’t label myself as a two-down defensive lineman…I’m just a two-down defensive lineman for us this year.”

As the charter member of the BJRajisucksass fan club, Im glad to see that most of you have come around after the last several years of his sucktitude.

If Ted doubles down on this clown and gives him a big contract - ****.. or any contract, it is just a clear example of his pride getting in the way of actual player evaluation.  Results from the draft and Free Agency have been relatively weak for us lately.  We aren't the worst team out there... but outside of #12, our talent as a whole is definitely subpar.. not the worst, but subpar.  I feel a change is coming in the next few seasons.  It just feels like Ted's time is coming to a close (via retirement) and McCarthy might move on to another job for a new challenge.  It happened with Holmgren and Wolf... its starting to feel like its the end of their run.

I do not know the mechanics of how the contract can be voided but I do know Raji is slated to make a little over 4 million next season. Raji performance these last couple of season has been underwhelming, I do not think there is a 8 million per year contract out there for him. Is a  long term 4 million dollar plus a year contract possible ? Is it possible that Raji bets on himself an plays the last year of his packers contract in hope of earning a bigger contract latter?

I do not think Raji has played himself into a good place.

Raji will be an UFA in March unless he gets a deal with GB during the negotiation period before he is open to negotiate with any team. His option year (voidable) was never going to be executed one way or the other. The way I understand his contract the option was created to make cap space in 2009 by pushing money into 2014. With 2 1st rounders in '09 I think the Packers were up against the rookie pool and they got creative by using this voidable option aspect. I believe Andrew Brandt wrote something about this (voidable options) a couple year back.
