Must have had a few left over from yesterday.

Someone on the radio tonight said the Packers might low-ball Raji after he turned down the $8 mil offer earlier.
Has there ever been a player that came back after the Packers leaked their high offer to the media? That's usually the kiss of death for the player's future in GB if I'm remembering correctly.
Some of you guys are going to **** the bed when TT makes resigning Raji a priority.
I thought Raji/his agent leaked the contract details.
He won't... Raji saw his playing time reduced as the season went on in favor of Boyd. Remember when the excuse for Raji was he was on the field for too many snaps? Did we here that once down the stretch this season? Nope.. Because Boyd was more effective and getting critical snaps.
Boyd started getting playing time to spell Pickett, Raji, and Jolly... eventually getting many more snaps when Jolly went down.
Yes, they rotated.. Point is he stole snaps from Raji who in the past rarely came off the field. If he was producing like he had in the past, they wouldn't have taken snaps from him.
Last season, his snap count % would be in the 70's and 80's.. This season, 50's and 60's
If in the past you mean before this season then yes. I didn't see Boyd taking snaps from Raji this season. The plan from back in August was a heavy rotation on the DL, especially for Raji and Pickett.
They have been saying thats the plan on the DL forever. In years past, it didn't come to fruition because Raji's production was too valuable.
Not this year.
Sounds like he's pissed about his role, if this report is true.
Raji clearly isnβt nearly as involved as he used to be in Green Bay. In fact, as of Week 16 the nose tackle had been seeing right around 50% of the defensive and finally voiced his frustrations just a tad when he said:
βI donβt label myself as a two-down defensive linemanβ¦Iβm just a two-down defensive lineman for us this year.β
Talking like that definitely sounds like a ticket out of GB. Stuff like that helped Jennings end up in Siberia.
I wonder if Raji would change his tune if a new DC were named?
Wait....stop the presses....somebody doesn't like the tasks they have to perform for their job?
Right, FS, especially when it will end up hitting them in the wallet!
For those who love statistics--The niners dominating defensive performances in their last 2 play off wins featured one tackle and 3 assists by their nose tackle.
As the charter member of the BJRajisucksass fan club, Im glad to see that most of you have come around after the last several years of his sucktitude.
If Ted doubles down on this clown and gives him a big contract - ****.. or any contract, it is just a clear example of his pride getting in the way of actual player evaluation. Results from the draft and Free Agency have been relatively weak for us lately. We aren't the worst team out there... but outside of #12, our talent as a whole is definitely subpar.. not the worst, but subpar. I feel a change is coming in the next few seasons. It just feels like Ted's time is coming to a close (via retirement) and McCarthy might move on to another job for a new challenge. It happened with Holmgren and Wolf... its starting to feel like its the end of their run.
I thought Friday was the day his contract could be voided. I have 2 questions. 1. Could either side void it? 2. Since we have heard nothing is it safe to say Raji will be a Packer for next season?
I do not know the mechanics of how the contract can be voided but I do know Raji is slated to make a little over 4 million next season. Raji performance these last couple of season has been underwhelming, I do not think there is a 8 million per year contract out there for him. Is a long term 4 million dollar plus a year contract possible ? Is it possible that Raji bets on himself an plays the last year of his packers contract in hope of earning a bigger contract latter?
I do not think Raji has played himself into a good place.
Raji will be an UFA in March unless he gets a deal with GB during the negotiation period before he is open to negotiate with any team. His option year (voidable) was never going to be executed one way or the other. The way I understand his contract the option was created to make cap space in 2009 by pushing money into 2014. With 2 1st rounders in '09 I think the Packers were up against the rookie pool and they got creative by using this voidable option aspect. I believe Andrew Brandt wrote something about this (voidable options) a couple year back.
"His option year (voidable) was never going to be executed one way or the other. "
Who's option is it and at what terms? Club option at escalated salary? Player option at reduced?
I'm not finding any clear answers on the interwebs.
This guy was most effective playing NT but he's been an end the last two years, while Pickett played the middle. Maybe he's just playing the wrong position?
I wonder that too Sep but that's no excuse to suck as an end.
I personally think Pickett is the better nose tackle. The guy is still really hard to root out of the hole. Raji gives up too much ground on double teams.
First round DT pick? Maybe... http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/mock-draft

Haha, that might be true, too.
