NFL should steal ESPN's idea for these Thursday nighters: Regular broadcast on one network, All-22 cameras on another.
Michael David Smith @MichaelDavSmith
We've now had four separate commercial breaks in the last nine minutes.

was that a penalty. looked clean to me. hit him too hard?
Steve Smith just pwned Troy Polamalu, wow. 43 is a shell of what he used to be.
damn i wish Shazier had fallen to GB.
Steve Smith looking really good still.

Beautiful hit.
3rd & 4 on BAL 83:18 (Shotgun) A.Brown right end to BAL 7 for 1 yard (T.Jernigan; C.Mosley). BAL-A.Jackson was injured during the play. End around play.Aaron Schatz @FO_ASchatzAll these jet sweeps and end arounds for 84... did Pittsburgh steal a Minnesota game plan?
Matt Williamson @WilliamsonNFLI like Brown as a Jet Sweep guy, but not to the boundary
Jene Bramel @JeneBramelCJ Mosley called that play before the snap. Game has already slowed down for him.
Jamison Hensley @jamisonhensley#Ravens top two draft picks, C.J. Mosley and Timmy Jernigan, in on that third-down stop at 7-yard line.
There was a 2 or 3 year run where I truly felt he was the best football player in the league.
Yup.
Mosley is going to be good. Shazier looks like a guy learning to play the middle. Borland is a better ILB than Shazier right now. Will be interesting to watch those two.
Clinton-Dix was a really good pick.
Nance and Simms get worse, not each season, but by each broadcast. Execrable. And now they're doing two games a week, good heavens. Sound good only by comparison to Cowher and Deion.
Execrable.
Had to look it up.
Why do 29 teams have better tight-ends than we do?
24 teams have two better than we do.
@TyDunne: OK so this is why, back at Senior Bowl in Jan., Dick LeBeau said that "Weβre talking about Dom and Iβve got my own problems." Yikes, Pitt.
Steelers defense is getting worked.
Big Ben and Eli are the regular season anti-Peyton Mannings. Get them to the post season and it's like Akroyd and a Murphy in Trading Places.
Shazier is a work in progress.

The Packers could have had Owen Daniels this offseason.
When was the last time a Packers TE caught 2 touchdowns? Week 3 of the 2011 season when Finely caught 3 TDs.
Are we answering our own questions now? I guess we are.

Penalties like that make me ill.
I really and truly blame Roger Goodell for crap like that. It's a simple directive that needs to be changed. All he needs to say to officials is, "If you're not absolutely 100% sure it's a penalty, DON'T throw the flag."
Instead, he and the league have the exact opposite mentality. Their mentality is "If you're unsure then THROW THE FLAG and we'll sort it all out on Monday to see if it really should have been thrown.".
Absolute crock of s*&t the way they handle penalties, particularly in the past 5 - 10 years it's gotten way way worse. We don't watch the NFL to see refs throw flags. Just a simple change in attitude by the league would change that significantly, but they're too gutless to do it.
That was a text book tackle.
