Can someone explain why there are seemingly stretches of 2-3 series when Aaron Jones is on the bench or simply does not touch the ball?  I get that Jamaal Williams is a decent backup RB, but the offense is so different with Jones in there.  Even when Williams rumbles off a 12-yard run, I only think how many yards would have been gained with the much more explosive Jones.  Lastly, does anyone know the status of Dillon?  Is he seriously sick with COVID or is the Pack just milking the IR spot?  They really need that power on the short yardage runs and I sure hope he gets used in that capacity when he returns.

They are limiting Jones (still) because they want to do all they can to ensure he’s healthy and ready to go in January. That’s my best guess.

And even though he’s shown he’s more durable vs previous years, you still sense that they are overly cautious with him.

As for Dillon, once he’s back they need to work him in more. Period. He’s supposedly the exact type of punishing north/south RB that can wear defenses down. Especially in cold, outdoor December and January weather. Now let’s see if MLF and Co. will actually commit to that

My only guess is RB load management.   I agree with packerboi my only guess is they want him as fresh as possible down the road.   Also,  Jones isn't the biggest guy in the world so I think the less mileage you have him the better.
