Here’s what I love about Giannis shooting the ball 30 times tonight... they did everything they could t take him out of the game and he would not let them. MJ would do this... control the game regardless of what they were doing to stop him. In the past, Giannis would unselfishly shoot the ball 12 times while setting up teammates, and give them exactly what they wanted.

Brogdon was huge tonight. Maker really big off the bench. But Giannis forcing Goebert and Utah to defend him the entire game to me was the difference. In the 4th, Utah had nothing left. Giannis putting constant pressure on them did that. Pretty big moment in Giannis’ evolution...

A very solid win for the Bucks coming off the defeat against the Raptors.  Utah played inspired basketball in the first half but the Bucks simply wanted it more and roared ahead late.  In years past they would have found a way to lose a game like this.

Onto Houston next.  Should be an entertaining game.

Giannis beats the buzzer with the tip in!!! Great run to finish the 3rd... up 9 after being down 10 at one point.

Giannis 20points and 16 boards through 3.

That was an insane buzzer beater.

OKC just lost to ATL 142-126 in regulation... good grief, that’s rec league bullshit there.

Giannis gets his trip/dub 12-10-10 and is done for the night. 4-9 shooting in 25 minutes. 6 Bucks in double figures and of Hill gets 3, Brown gets 2, and DJ gets 2, they’ll have 9 in double figures.

The way the Bucks demolish teams this season is scary. 38 point win and lots of legs left for tomorrow night. Bucks have not fared well on BTBs this year, but they have another streak to keep alive tomorrow- they have not lost twice to any team this season. Memphis could be the first tomorrow night...

A nice 10 point win vs. Orlando last night....

Vucevic played really well for the Magic. Giannis steps on the court & everybody raises their game.....including the opponents.

Mavs in Fiserv on MLK day. Mavs are really underrated & Doncic...he's really good.

Almost to the All-Star break. Stay healthy!

Since the Bucks lost on Xmas to the dreadful Knicks at the Garden they are 18-5.  Not bad. The schedule gets a little tricky over the next 5-6 games but the one thing about this team is they might lose one here and there but they shake it off and keep rolling.

I see no reason why this won’t continue.  Get that 1 or 2 seed and ensure home court advantage deep.

Bucks won the Christmas Day game. They lost on the road to the Knicks a couple weeks before that.

The play of Bledsoe right now is All Star level. He’s scoring some, sure, but his defense is just pure harassment. 6-17 for Doncic... has a triple double but not dominant.

Bucks got a little soft in the second Q, but controllled everything beyond that. Good win on MLK day!

Bucks held them off which is something we are not used to seeing.  17 point 4Q lead evaporated but they kept their composure.

34-12 wow

Thanks for catching that Music. I hate the Knicks so it was clouding my judgment

Yahoo article reporting that Thon Maker may be requesting a trade to get more playing time.

He does realize that you earn playing time, right?

Buh-bye dude.  This is where a Middleton and Maker deal for Beal makes a lot of sense.

Maker & cash for Beal - can't get rid of Middleton yet because he's at least halfway decent shooting from outside.

I like Thon Maker but there is a reason Budd ain't putting him out there.

Maker is not done with what he’s going to become. You have a guy that is frightfully immature, but he has a lot of 21st century NBA game, so he’s a potential asset.

We’ve been talking about trade deals, and the conventional wisdom is that they don’t have assets to trade for anything that matters.

The guy who’s increased his trade value the most this season has been Brogdon. He’s a fine player... smart, has game... but will he ever be a true all star player? It’s debatable.

So a package of Brogdon and Maker (all his potential) for Beal? It’s not crazy...

Maybe they could trade Maker to the Warriors for Jordan Bell? Of course both guys would be virtually in the same situation. There's only so many minutes to go around.

Maker has absolutely no feel for the game and I really wonder if he will ever develop decent instincts and basketball IQ.

I mean, the guy is always a step slow to react and seems to be out of position a lot.  Defensively, he should be OK but if he’s not beaten off the dribble he’s getting overwhelmed physically quite often.   It says a lot when he’s received hands on training from arguably one of the best big men defenders of all time (KG) and has made zero improvement.

He’s basically a 6’11” 3 point shooter and if that’s all he can do then he needs to be hitting more shots because he’s a complete liability otherwise. No way does he take playing time from DJ Wilson or Ersan.  Heck, Christian Wood should be getting his minutes.

As for Brogdon, he might be their most important player next to Giannis.  You see what happens when he’s not in the lineup and he’s such a very good overall player. He’s easily their most versatile player as he can play 1 or 2, he can defend, he can get to the rack (sneaky good) and he can and does hit the outside shots.  Is he an elite athlete?   Probably not.  But you do not trade guys like that.  Not unless you get an established stud player in return.

Maker and Brogdon alone wouldn’t work for Beal, but if they were willing to absorb another larger contract like Tony Snell, then you may consider it.  The kicker with Beal is he’s well paid for a couple more years so getting the salaries to match is a must.
