Rockies break out with a run in the 1st inning.  I hope the Rockies can pull it off, not because I hate the Cubs, but I think the Brewers can do well in Colorado with the power they have in the line up.

Oh it’s most certainly because I hate the Cubs. Well their fans.

Love you ammo.......and I'm not a statistical fan of the Brew Crew or any other ML team......so if you're saying the Crew has the power, then I'm all in with you and the Brewers.  GO BREWERS GO.  Just so excited to wear my new Brewers shirt to root them on.

Couple things so far. The Ump has certainly expanded the zone for Lester after the first two batters.

The Rockies should have 2 runs Blackmon was 15 feet from 3rd and was going to score and Dela would have been on third if not for that ivy

How can you swing at the 1st pitch you have ever seen from a guy??

I think this was the key to the Cubs losing.  They were going up there hacking at every first pitch.  You had a guy on short rest work the count and get the pitch count up.  But then again the game was almost 5 hours long to begin with.

I'm glad. I wanted the Rockies anyway.

Bye Cubs. Hope you enjoyed your WS win last year

I absolutely enjoyed the World Series win in 2016.  Wasn't certain I'd ever see one.  And while bowing out this year so quickly wasn't/isn't ideal, I still cherish/smile and the World Championship two years ago.  It was unbelievable!!

That said, good luck to the Brewers.  I will be rooting for the winner of the Brewers/Rockies series to hoist the WS trophy later in the month.  I won't call myself a fan of either, but I'll definitely be rooting for either (so maybe that makes me a little bit of a fan).

I've been a lifelong Cubs fan and lifelong Packers fan (don't ask, too long to explain).  And I find it interesting that so many Brewers fans hate the Cubs/Cubs fans.  And so many Cubs fans hate the Brewers/Brewers fans.  I guess I'm in the minority, but I don't really have any long lasting angst the Milwaukee.  They only recently became a rivalry when the Crew moved to the NL.  And even then, it's not too often both teams are good at the same time.  And neither team has had sustained success in my lifetime.  As a Chicagoan/Illinoisan, I guess it's a border thing.

The thing I find funny is that are there really any opposing fans that fans of any team thinks are great.  Cards?  Nope.  Pirates? Nope. Cincy?  Not really.  Does anyone like Yankees, Dodgers, or Red Sox fans?  Doubtful. Generally when an opposing team is good, we don't like them or their fans.

Anyway, good luck to the Brewers and Brewers fans.  Should the win the Pennant, it will truly be an unbelievable feeling.  And should they win the World Series - well, words really can't describe it.
