Saw a quote on Packer News that Rodgers game in Houston was only his 11th best passer rating for his career. The passer rating is a flawed rating system but 11th best?

So I went back and looked up the number of times AR has thrown 3 or more TD's in a game without throwing an INT. 16 times in 68 career starts. 14-2 in those games (losses to MN and Pitt both 2009). 56 TD's - 0 INT's in those 16 games.

Now in his 5th year as a starter, there's a 24% chance Aaron Rodgers throws 3 or more TD's and zero INT's every time he takes the field.

Best QB in football.
There's things I hate about both QB rating systems.

Going into this past weekend, I wanted to like the ESPN rating system better. But then I heard that Rodgers 6TD 0INT game was rated THIRD best among QBs for the week. Eli Manning's week with 190 some yards and 1 TD pass was rated higher than Rodgers. Pure bullcrap.

I'd say Rodgers performance this year has been somewhere between 1st and 11th. Maybe somehow they can combine parts of both rating systems to come up with a better one.
I think it also helps to remember that even in the depths of his "slump," Rodgers stayed in the top 8 of just about every passing category. He caught some crap for saying a number of QBs would love to have his early season stats, but he was dead on.

I'm not expecting many more games like Sunday's, but I don't think he's going to let go of that top spot easily.
