I dont believe him.
Certainly, if Rodgers wins a Super Bowl with the 32nd ranked defense complementing him, there are no questions asked. That might be the greatest QB accomplishment of all time if it happens as this Packer team is almost completely on his shoulders.
That said, just look at the last 6 years and Peyton Manning/Tom Brady. Those are 2 of the best QBs I've ever seen play and they've got a grand total of 1 Super Bowl win between them during that span. A lot has to go right for a team to win the Super Bowl, and having a QB play great is only 1 factor. It's an important factor, but it is a team game.

When Greg cites AR's discipline it's pretty obvious what he's referring to. What really separates the two players is how AR takes care of the ball.
I don't think there's any question that Rodgers is the better player. Physically he's just as talented if not more talented. His preparation is better. He's more disciplined, more of a leader, more selfless, and he's more of a team player. Favre in his prime was incredibly talented and did some amazing things with the football, but it seems like it took everything Holmgren had to keep him reined in and playing within the system...that way of playing can result in some huge plays, but as we saw throughout Favre's career it can also result in some huge mistakes. I think his career numbers reflect that.
Favre has the numbers on his side, Rodgers is the better player, but Flynn is the best overall.

JJ Watt is better than Rodgers right Grave Dummy?
If Rodgers plays like Favre did vs Giants in '08 Championship game then put in Flynn to win.
Sometimes I wonder what we coud do if Joe Thomas was our QB.
Thomas to Raji would be a great QB/WR tandem.
If Joe Thomas was the Packers QB, the NFL would have to dismantle the Packer because games would so one-sided it would bore people to death.
As for the Favre or Rodgers argument, it depends on what part of Favre career we are comparing Favre to Rodgers. Favre was amazing during his 3 MVP years. Also Ted has found more offensive talent to put around Rodgers then Wolf found for Favre.

He (Rodgers) doesn't get bored making the easy completion - MM

Exactly. I think Farve would have had a least 2 more super bowl appearances probably winning at least 1 of them if not for those damn INT's

Playoff player unquestionable. Favre earned his reputation as a choker and has to wear it the rest of his life. I would agree with you 100% that Rodgers is unequivocally a better QB with talent surrounding him. If you gave me near any playoff caliber team I'd take Rodgers over Favre 100 out of 100 times to lead it.
Give me a team with one elite receiver and not much else and ask me to make a season out of it in September and I'd take Favre 100 out of 100. He was better than any other QB I've ever seen at getting the most out of his best player game in and game out.
I don't think anything is cut and dry. Favre's flaws are well known after a long career but I can't honestly say Rodgers would have been a better option on every team over the Favre era. It's hard for me to say Rodgers could elevate mediocre offensive talent into a playoff team. He's never faced the challenge while Favre has numerous times over his career.
They're amazingly different but they were/are both fantastic and we were/are fortunate to watch them both perform in Green and Gold.
