One thing also pretty clear. MM flat out knew it was broke the moment the x-rays came back. This whole 'we have no diagnosis' was complete and total BS and lied in his post game PC.

I still don't understand why the need for the shroud of secrecy is with this team and injuries and not just telling what is arguably the most passionate fan base in the NFL the truth. Just say, "yes we took x-rays. He broke his collarbone. It's _____ kind of fracture. We're doing tests tomorrow to see when he can return". Is it really that hard?

I would think there is a huge range of degrees when it comes to a broken collarbone.

Charles Woodson's was a bad one, if AR has just a slight fracture with 99% of the bone still connected and intact, it might not be a very big deal.

If AR indeed did take snaps and throw in the training room after the docs saw the xrays....that seems to indicate a pretty mild fracture.

I wonder how he felt about the fatazz bears fan flipping him off and yelling "F-you Rodgers!" as he came back to the sideline.  I didn't know deepchit was at the game last night.

Spoiled? Nope. Crestfallen? You betcha. The realization how much of the Packers warts got exposed without ARodge is depressing. Skill position wise there is no NFL franchise with better talent. But areas that have been intensely addressed via the draft are still a mess. Including Don "Lookout" Barclay who made a star out of the Bears DE and the defense save Matthews, Shields, Lattimore and Barnett.

Hopefully it's no more than that. In those 4 games, they have 2 they can perhaps salvage wins against. @ NYG and vs Min. Capers needs to get this D playing better over this stretch. Team will need to lean on them and the run game heavily here

"What I'm doing is taking a close look at the disaster plan that the Packers have rehearsed countless times behind closed doors. Lack of preparation is inexcusable, and these people didn't play the second half of the 45th Super Bowl without eight starters and still win by being unprepared.

Injury is the grimmest fact of life in the NFL. The Packers have been immune at quarterback for 21 years, but it doesn't represent the unthinkable for them. They're paid not just to meet catastrophe, but to conquer it."

Just because you don't think you're spoiled doesn't mean you're not.

Saw the headline that this Sunday Seneca Wallace will be the 4th starting qb in the last 21 seasons for the Packers. Considering that 2 of those starters accounted for, what, 3 starts in that span I'd say we Packer fans have been spoiled beyond belief.

Just ask fans of every other NFL team.

<small class="time">10m</small>

Based video and all new info, it appears that has a non displaced distal clavicle fx @ AC joint. Surgery is unlikely.

<small class="time">6m</small>

There is risk of displacement and further damage if he were to return immediately. All signs point to ligaments ok (CC, AC, CA, GH, etc).

<small class="time">6m</small>

The only reason to do surgery would be for displacement which he doesn't seem to have now. But return to early play would risk this.

<small class="time">2m</small>

Hard to give time estimate on return w/o examination or seeing studies. Based on available info and my experience: 4-6 weeks

<small class="time">1m</small>

If the fracture incomplete as some speculate, could be sooner in the 2-4 week range. med staff will treat him right

Apparently there are not enough quality QB around for all 32 NFL teams so there can not be much out there QB wise. What  do the Packers do  if Rodgers is out for about 6 weeks ? If the Packers can make the Playoffs then they still have a chance. Without Rodgers the Packers will depend on their running game.  What if the Packers decided to completely sale out to their run game, does T-Bow make sense? He will come cheap, an import consideration for a team that needs cap space to sign players.

Frosts me how they still could've won last night if the defense played better. I know, no Matthews, but that's excuse making. The defense needed to step up at home and didn't. Now we need to rely on them to play above-and-beyond for at least 4 games to have some hope of a WC? Even with Matthews return imminent I don't believe in this defense or that they are capable of carrying the load until Rodgers returns. I'll be happy if they prove me wrong however.

I'll take it one difficult game at a time. If Flynn's arm were healthy he likely would not be available. Would not Vince Young be an upgrade over Seneca Wallace though? I do not understand the Wallace signing at all over Young. But then they did see Young working with the offense. But still, Seneca Wallace?

IDK if this has been posted previously, but how prescient was this.

Packers give Scott Tolzien a raise to keep him around

Marshall Newhouse, Scott Tolzien AP

When quarterbacks started dropping like flies recently, teams had to take steps if they had a guy on the practice squad they wanted to keep.

The Saints promoted theirs (Ryan Griffin) from the practice squad to the 53-man roster, while the Packers just gave theirs a raise.

According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the Packers bumped practice squad quarterback Scott Tolzien’s salary from $6,000 a week to more than $32,000 a week, or right at the league minimum for second-year players.

The Packers have done that before, bumping the pay of practice squad guys to keep them around, and the move indicates they want to make sure they keep Tolzien around for camp next year.

“There’s great people,” Tolzien said recently of the Packers. “It has been an easy transition. It’s a great working environment. It’s always business first, but guys get in their laughs, too.”

Laughing all the way to the bank helps as well.

Well for starters let's not put words into my mouth I never wrote. Find where I said I'm pissed off. I said MM lied last night and it's BS to do so since I don't know who PackerRuss he's trying to fool. ESPN radio in Milwaukee said the same thing. I mean it's not he's fooling Chip Kelly or Coughlin into preparing for Rodgers because MM won't be upfront with injuries. And it's hardly like this is some isolated instance.

I just it's kind of ridiculous to deny or ignore reports of injuries when the very player who's injured is explaining what his injury is, how long he thinks he'll be out, only to have MM noticeably annoyed he's being asked about it.
