Greenberg: Rodgers has been an average QB for a while now

I find the back and forth on Rodgers interesting. If he isn't the best QB to ever play the game, he's definitely in every legitimate conversation about it. With that said, the guy is nowhere near where he used to be. I think he has the physical tools to be great and on occasion he is, but he's closer to above average than great at the present time.
Rodgers needs to be great from this point forward in the 2019 season. If he isn't, GB had better start thinking about looking for a kid in the draft that can be ready in a few years.
I just enjoy the ride for as long as it lasts.

Trade him. Dead serious. If he's average with superstar credentials then some team will absolutely overpay. Better a year early than a year late.
If you trade him now, you gotta do a complete rebuild. Sell Rodgers, Adams, Z, Jones, and Jaire. Go full Dolphin with the exception of Kenny Clark and Savage because of age.
Hope to be playing in the NFCC 3 or 4 years from now.
Do it. The guy is average and will only be holding the Packers back for the rest of his contract/career.
Then decide if Mayo and Gerk are really the ones you want driving the car and rebuild in the decided path/mold.

Exactly. So go into the playoffs, lose and then immediately set up the trade talks. At least he's coming off a winning season at this point.

Rodgers needs to use Lazard more often. Dude catches what's thrown his way and fights for extra yards. So what if he's not a burner? And MLF needs to use Tonyan more often. If you have at least two options, and Jones who is great in the passing game, each helps the other get open. Locking in on Adams and/or Graham is killing the offense right now.

In the 7 weeks without Sanders, Jimmy G had a QB rating of less than 110 five times. In the 6 games with him he has had only one below 110. Sanders, Samuels, & Kittle > Adams, Lazard, Graham.

Cobb wouldâve been a nice security blanket while installing the 1st year of the new offense. Guessing Gute thought Davante, MVS, EQ, GMO, etc....would be enough..... but could really use a quick, sure handed, good route runner playing in the slot with Davante outside.

Two of AR's better performances of the season occurred with Adams out injured. Receiver position definitely needs upgrading but not sure how significantly it plays into the offensive struggles. AR needs to play within the system and take what the defense is giving him rather than looking for the kill shot.

My intention is showing the same or near same production with Lazard as Sanders.....and the Packers don't have George Kittle....and the Packers didn't have to mortgage the future with 2020 draft picks.
Plus Sanders doesn't block as well as Lazard in the run game.
That's all I'm saying. Not that Packers WR's are better.

Because they used Jones and Wiliams in unique ways. Those two had more receiving yards than the "WR" corp. Why Mayo went away from that I'm not entirely sure but my guess is it wouldn't take teams long to shut it down. Jones lining up at WR should be a pretty good indicator as to how poor this WR corp is.

"next gen" stats and PFF = Wall Street tranche. Talk about narrative. How many stats within stats do you need to reach for before looking at the field and seeing Rodgers isn't playing very well and a shitty WR corp is a big part of it.
