Lots from Peter King on the fake rub route the Packers ran on the first drive that set up the TD.
Super washed up...
Davante Adams told us last night that Aaron Rodgers “came up” with that third down play “on the spot.”

What Rodgers told him right before it:
“Tae, I need you to make a play here.”
The result: 32-yard completion.
He's doing it again!! Going all sandlot!
We're screwed!!
And zeroing in on Adams. He's lost "IT".
If the DBs can't stay with Tae, zero in AR, zero in all the way to a W in Miami.
Dick Sherman will shadow Adams.

In that case they won't need to double him.
Which will leave more resources available to cover our other stellar WR's. This is going to be a very tough D to score on for GB.
Praying that SF leaves Sherman on an island against Adams. I just don’t see it. Rodgers and Adams are in cheat code mode right now. Adams would chew Sherman to shreds. SF will devote S help on Adams for 60 minutes. One of the kids is going to have to step up. Sounds crazy but don’t sleep on Geronimo this weekend.
My money's on Lazard if he is good to go...
Jake!

He got on Arod's bad list when he juggled a ball and didn't come down with it before going out of bounds. Can't do that in playoff games.

Yeah Dick Sherman = Deion Sanders.
Just wait....Sherman is gonna get torched by Tae & Rodgers.

Jace Sternberger.

They won't. The way Adams was playing last night nobody can stick with him 1 on 1 and they know it. No sense in removing your best CB only to see him toasted. They will just bracket him where ever he goes. I hope the Pack puts him on Sherman's side frequently because this means the single cover CB on WR2 isn't Sherman.
From that article: For all his accomplishments, Rodgers never has beaten the 49ers in the playoffs.
#4 once told Dave Letterman, "somethings bound to happen".
Shoulda had that one at Lambeau -- Micah Hyde dropped the INT from CK kiss my bicep.
I know this much....He beat Seattle & Seattle gave SF everything they could handle both times.
All you need is a chip & a seat -- Packers have both
You taught him what NOT to do...Fuckin Brent....Good God
Favre also doesn't comprehend how Rodgers hasn't mentioned retirement yet.
His lack of dik piks is also bizarre. And he's not even married!
The one vs. the Bears last year off Jimmy Graham's facemask in the endzone. That one still makes me mad. 😆

Rodgers to MLF on the TD to Adams "Great call, kid"

The one to end the game on what could have been Defensive PI against the Eagles was another.
The worst one might have been the first Lions game where Shepherd fell at the goal line trying to catch it and it bounced off his chest into a Lion defender's hands.
Every QB has INT's like that. It evens out. Receivers make contested catches, defenders drop balls that hit their hands (see sunday night).
Far from it.
Far
Far, far from it.
I blame TT/Murphy for wasting his prime years more than him checking out and being nonchalant for the last couple of seasons.
I've been one of the most critical dudes on these boards about Rodgers. I said over and over that he had to play better. And he did.
Rodgers is more than good enough to get this team to a Super Bowl. He needs help. That's on Gute and LaFluffer. Based on what we saw last off season, I have faith in the immediate future of this franchise.
Doing something when the game was already over does not prove a thing.
Beware.
Agreed. Its been glaring recently how much better Adams is than the other receivers. Lazard is good depth, Kumerow might be also, but they’re not top 3 guys. We could probably get away with Lazard another year in the outside, but we need a LEGIT slot receiver.
Robby Anderson would be a guy I'd target in FA at the #2 WR spot. Still 27. Has been productive in the past. Wouldn't cost the $15M+ a guy like Cooper would.

Adams, Lazard and Sternberger are the only sure bets for next year. Nobody currently on the roster outside those three are better than a # 4 WR or third string TE. Fortunately, the WR depth is deep in the draft, could see at least two being drafted and maybe another starting TE coming via Free Agency.
Time to trim some fat from this squad.
Hoping Cole Madison can see the field next year.
EQ still in their plans...time to cut bait on GMO and MVS

A guy like Randall Cobb?
The lost the game tonight because they couldn't stop the run, but not resigning Cobb for relatively modest money (5 million a year) was the most puzzling decision of the last off season.
i dont recall seeing AR make a play outside of the pocket tonight. not sure if it was the game plan or what. IT was constantly drop back and throw it off your back foot while falling away. Bert did the same thing at the end of his career here.
I dont see him stepping up and firing the ball anywhere. its floating it with a flick of the wrist and not getting hit. seems to be a passive way of playing QB.
anyways, just a very different approach than what we saw in his prime.
If we had 3 good WRs would he even scan to look for them?
If hes on the continual downslide and permanently shell shocked we're really gonna need a real running game and defense to get to a SB
Cobb and his veteran savvy would have made A difference, but obviously wouldn’t have been THE difference. We lost by 14 with multiple failed drives that ended in missed opportunities, who knows how many of those drives failed because guys just couldn’t get open.
