Romeo Doubs will be a huge factor in the Packers' success, this season. Love to Doubs, Love to Watson Love to Reed, Love to Toure, Love to DeGuara, Love to Musgrave, Love to Kraft, not to mention Love to Jones and Love to Dillon, will be a spectacle to behold on the gridiron.  GO PACK, GO!!!

People gushing over the Love TD pass last night seems kind of myopic. It was a solid throw, sure, but Doubs also made a very good play smoothly positioning his body to screen the defender and adjust to the ball. I don't think he did anything close to that saavy last year. That was maybe my favorite play of the night.

I don't think it is imagination, but if he can't actually get on the field and do anything, then how can he be considered a true number 1?

I love his skill set and what he can do (and did last year), but if he's only going to be available for half of a season he isn't a number 1 receiver.

If I told you Watson played in 14 games last year would you believe me?

If I told you he could possibly play in 15 games this year would you believe me?

In the words of Alexander, Mr. Watson, come here, I want to see you.

Of course the throw RIDICULOUS with pressure in his face is insanity.... BUT!! Doubs gets hammered in the back of the head after making this catch. Glad he's ok. This deserves to be in the Doubs thread

Also interesting is Dillon, wide open in the flat to move the chains too if necessary

Seeing the Herman video, there's almost no shot that he can get the ball to Dillon there. With Jones in his face and between him and AJ he would have to do some kind of sky hook to get it there.

Reed did not splash as much last night.

They don't currently have a true #1WR.  But this was discussed here a while back with AR and DA, I think while DA was out and the offense had a good game.  The MLF offense doesn't need one to work.  It needs roll players who all do their job well along with a good running game.  A true #1 is always good to have but not a must.

This group has a lot of very promising youth and talent.  Looks like there is plenty for MLF to work with.

Biggest difference between the two is don't recall anyone saying the throw to Adams was just a lucky heave.

Consider these differences and then determine if you still think that’s the biggest difference.

  1. We’ve seen that pin point accuracy from Rodgers for 10 years.   We have seen it from Love for…. 1 pass?

  2. Rodgers was planted and there was no desperation in the delivery motion.

So, you are saying Love hit on a higher degree of difficulty? Nice!

Of course AR's experience and stature will cause the plays to be viewed differently. My point is that there remains a segment of the fan base that is extremely hesitant to give Love credit due to their initial dislike of the pick. The good news is that it's changing as many are acknowledging their error.

Just sick. I just hope he doesn’t fall in love with back foot throws after that throw.

In the Kurt Benkert analysis clip, he actually said it was necessary for Love to be throwing off his back foot on that play to avoid the pass rusher and get air under the ball.

Common theme in review of 10's throws is his footwork.  That's just an overarching issue that shows up regularly.  He has enough arm talent to still deliver balls where they need to go but his accuracy should take another tick upward if he can clean up his feet.

The read was spot on, the adjustment was on-point, he even was able to target probably their best tracker, getting the ball out was skillfully done, but also he had to put a lot of air under it against pro defensive backs which was a risk.

So yeah, there was an element of luck, but it wasn’t like he didn’t do everything possible for it to succeed.
